you don't have to wait 3-4 seasons, only 1 freakin' year. Take Risk huh? Why don't you tell that to Phoenix and the Mavs? I'm sure their risky moves played out soooo well

If the standings are correct, the Hawks are 31-22, and are 4th in the East. Winning team?

BD and AI have taken their teams further in the playoffs...

Also..how do you know Yao will even be in his prim by 2010...how do you know he'll even be playing? He'll be around Tmac's age and look at Tmac now... How do you know Yao will be tired of the Rockets at 2010 and ready to leave to a bigger market and better team?

Yeah so lets just wait until 2010...and then when 2010 comes we can wait until 2014...

Uh, so much wrong in this post, but GS won more games last year, than the year before when they made the playoffs. It was just too competitive out West.

No way! Baron Davis has a huge contract plus he doesn't seem like he even cares about winning anymore. And to top it off he is injury prone.

The only reason I can think of for the Rockets to even consider this is to say F U back to Tmac.

Bigger market and better team? You just described two teams: Lakers and Celtics.

I agree, what's the deal with wating?

How about winning championships? If we get this deal done, we have a great chance of winning it this year and next year.

Does he ever break a story? It seems he is closest to the team but sort of gives what the team wants you to hear.

    I don't think he has a clue.

If he does get that microfracture surgery, he may not even play next year. So unless the Clippers are committed to sucking for another year, I don't see it happening. They'd rather move Baron for somebody that can help now.

I just feel when you have a near 30 yr old player like Yao.

Waiting is silly. Then when your second player is around the same age (Artest) and you have no young superstar (like Rudy Gay possibly) all you can do is try to win now.

That's why the Suns and Mavs made those trades. Their franchise guys are getting old, they have to do right by these guys by trading them or show them that they are trying to win now.

Teams like the Hornets and Nuggets have young superstars, they are in no rush and can be more conservative. We have Yao who can break down ANY season. Win now.

It would be a great deal if this goes through. Sweet moral victory for the Rockets by trading Tracy to the clippers!

So we replace one cancer-like primadonna with another one? And we take on a huge amount of cap space to do it? I don't see the point in that.

I think we'd have just as good of a chance at winning letting the team we have now minus TQuit bond together and play their asses off.

Deal from a position of strength, not weakness.
