People still don't understand this. T-Mac is 3 or 4th all-time in playoff scoring avg. You don't do that without stepping our game up. Daniel Gibson poured in 31pts in a clinching game when Lebron stunk up the place. If Luther Head gives us 13pts we take that series last year. We had a game where only FOUR players scored. Thats disgusting. I only see that in videogames.

Do people think that T-Mac can switch bodies when he passes the ball to WIDE OPEN guys like Head and Shane and knock down open shots. Daniel Gibson hit open shots and look where Cleveland got to. I don't see Jordan winning 6 rings without guys like Paxson, Kerr, and Buchler knocking down open shots. T-Mac ALWAYS does his part. He has never failed a team in the playoffs. He brings it every game.

Role players need to step up. Scola, Landry, Chuck Hayes need to finish better. Alston, Battier, and Head must hit open shots. Bobby Jackson is gonna have to provide that extra scoring punch when things get ugly as he did in Sacramento. He hasn't diminished since. We know what T-Mac is good for. If you believe T-Mac is gonna put up the same stats in the playoffs as he did this season you are fooling yourself.

In the playoffs he's going to have to do more in order for the Rockets to win. Think about that. The teams in the playoffs are good. This is not the cupcakes the Rockets faced during the 22 games streak to where he could do less and still win.

Problem is, T-mac has been a scapegoat for every team he has played in, even the rocket, and even Yao.....

T-mac did not allow himself to be put in the scapegoat position this year. I'm glad he layed the challenge on his team. When Yao first went down, some of you would remember him laying the challenge on his team.
"Its not on me, its on us". The one thing our team has done so far is not choke, and I think our team probably learnt from their mistakes.

Afterall, when you play the same team for a certain number of times, and you win most of the time, there is bound to be one game where you lose. Remember the kings game? That was one of those games where we are bound to see ourselves losing, since the kings won't stay behind us forever.

The same situation applies here. Our teammates have been choking for a good few years. But now that the team has learnt to play without Mcgrady (and our second unit during our winning streak was amazing. The second unit that we used did not have Mcgrady, but each time we use this second unit our team would go on a run) I'm sure the rockets will go somewhere.

I want to play Jazz again. I want Deke to reject boozer so hard he whines for a foul. I want t-mac to dunk on the bulletless AK47 like what he did on Bradley.
Afterall, T-mac deserves to be out of the first round more than anyone else in the league right now. His playoff stats speak for themselves.

the offense didn't go through boozer 90% of the time. it did through tmac last yr. tmac had to do more than boozer.

what if he increases his play in the playoffs and be the best player in the L and lose like he has?

you don't think we will advance if yao was playing? a lot of things are going into this.

reality, we are less talented than EVER team in the playoffs this year and most likely will be MUCH less talented than the team we will be playing (utah, lakers, spurs, suns in the first round)

trust me, he will put up ridiculous statlines in the playoffs. but his fg% will be max around 45% anyways. his career playoff shooting is around 44%. kobe is around the same in the playoffs so stop complaining. his #s will be terrific.

the question will be if the role players disappear like last yr. we can't afford another 4 players scoring in the WHOLE GAME.

in the recent chron article, adelman said his main concern in the playoffs is whether the team can score when teams double tmac like crazy. he's going to use the off time to try to counter that (this is where we REALLY need landry to be back to full strength)

I agree. T-Mac is T-Mac, he will do his job. But you know the defense will double him a lot so it' up to role players and bench.

They gotta stay agressive, they gotta knock down those open shoots.

4 players scoring in 1 game can't happen again.

they're just stats i think he's had a pretty good season.

his 3pointers and his freethrows are what he needs to improve.
