I happily accept less points averaged for more team wins.

Damn... Some people on this board just have to b**** about something....

In the beginning people were b****in about Adleman and his coaching...

Then they were b****in about Yao and T-Mac...

Then when Yao got hurt people were saying we would miss the playoffs... Then we start winning and people were b****in that we got lucky...

We win 20 in a row and then b**** about not playing anyone....

T-Mac gets his teammates involved and they are doing a helluva job and you still b****...

Stop trying to find stupid and dumb crap to b**** about and just enjoy the freaking game...

My parents told me... "If you don't have something good to say then don't say anything at all."

Some of you should listen and learn from that...

Do eople not remember that before his knee injury, he was having his best statistical season as a Rocket? 24/6/5 on 45% shooting.

His major funk after coming back from the injury killed his stats.

T-Mac is also on pace for a career high for wins in a season. I'd take the lower numbers for some extra wins anyday, ask Tim Duncan.

We're playing in the princeton offense. Notice how a lot of our players are almost averaging at least 10 points a game. Before it was what Tmac and Yao just scoring while everybody averaged like 4 points a game.

    There are lots of these.

All I have to say is: not enough.

If he was truly opening up the offense, his efficiency would go up. Probably his assists too.

Again, T-Mac hasn't done anything wrong. But that's not his role.

Just as an example, you could replace T-Mac with Caron Butler or Corey Maggette and I'd argue that this team would be the same or better.

are you seriously joking? you think we'd be 18-5 without yao if we have caron or corey instead of tracy right now?

This is my point. This is what has happened. We have resorted to "I guess it's good enough."

Bull. If he's down in every statistical category, totals and %'s, then he's playing worse. Pure and simple.

Stats don't tell the whole story, but they tell this part of the story: T-Mac is not performing well. He's just there.

Absolutely. But that means more wins in the playoffs as well.

What's the point winning more in the reg season? Also, I praised this team and the coach for the wins. I don't think T-Mac has done his part. He has been dissapointing while every other factor has been in our favor - coaching, system, rookies, etc...

2nd round or bust Tracy. You've been slacking all season, that's absolutely clear. Take your 2 40 point games and get us to the second round because that's what we really need.

tmac could avg 30, 7, 7 like v. dallas in 04-05 and we still would not advance most likely. all the teams right now are point blank better than us outside of denver or golden state. if we had yao, it's a different story.

so are you saying kevin garnett's, paul pierce, and ray allan #s are all down so they're not doing their part?

I hope you're joking. This team is sub .500 with Yao averaging 30 and 15 playing all 82 games if T-Mac isn't there. Do you ever watch any games? Who handles the ball MOST of the time?

You know you would have a better chance of talking to a wall... At least than you know what you are up against...

Some people only understand the game from stats... he doesn't understand the impact and what T-Mac has accomplished this year....

It's guys like him that are bringing this garm down... so good luck trying to reason with him...

Wrong...because of his role in the offense his efficency goes DOWN, especially with Yao out. The attention he attracts opens up shots for EVERYONE...except himself as he always gets shaded and doubled on pick and rolls, and now in the high post. It helps everyone's efficiency except himself. That kind of attention would not be recieved by a Maggette or Butler, and as a result the team's offense would be absolutely horrible despite Butler and Maggette's shooting %'s higher than what T-Mac's is right now.

He's probably preparing his self for the playoffs. I bet he will again average 32 PPG in the playoffs and this time he will destroy the Jazzholes!

Is this important information at all? We're winning, aren't we? Quit your whining, please.

I'm amazed to see so many people disagreeing with a T-Mac bashing thread, especially considering the year he's had.

Although he hasn't dropped to the Caron Butler/Corey Maggette level, T-Mac is truly, no longer a superstar. He has quite a bit of trouble generating good shots in volume, unlike players such as Kobe or Lebron. His vision and passing skills are still there, but that makes him more of a good "2nd option" ala prime Pippen(I know I shouldn't say this guy's name, but I can't come up with a more apt player in my head) on offense.

This is all great when Yao's around. But right now, T-Mac as a #1 option scares me against quality opponents.
