Tmac the analyst, I promise when I was playing 2k and he was on the IR I heard him interrupt Clark Kellogg and spin the story in his favor.

    TMac is right though.

Going to the Heat meant no great PG, and no great C; going to the heat meant having a super duper 2, and a softie for a 4.

Chicago is set at the 1 and 5, and solid at the 4 with Gibson. If James would move to the 3, this might allow Korver to start at the 2.

    Rose
    Korver
    James
    Gibson
    Noah

Very, VERY scary starting 5. But oh well. Too late for that now, eh?

I think that what T-Mac is saying here is just out of observation of the Heat's underachieving start, that's all. I also wonder if he studied film on why the Heat are underachieving so far this season.

I'm curious to know if he would want to be a TV analyist for whenever he retires from playing.

I'm curious to know as to why T-Mac thinks that LBJ would make a bigger impact with the Bulls than he has so far with the Heat.

Well miami has been having their problems...but it's a given they'll win, but i think Tmac's words will motivate them to not just win, but destroy them early. I guess we'll see what happens.

McGrady's comments says more about himself than it does about the Heat. He thinks Lebron and Wade can never learn to be useful without dominating the ball because he himself could never learn to do it (or never tried very hard at learning how to do it).

McGrady never managed to learn how to play any way other than dominating the ball. Although he had a good jumper stroke, he never got efficient with the spot-up J, he never ran the floor, he also wasn't particularly at moving without the ball to get himself layups or open shots.

There are success stories, though, of high usage/ball dominant guys learning to play with less touches and less dribbles with better teammates and became very efficient at it-- Paul Pierce, for example. I wouldn't give up on the Heat this early.

PP can do post up, can do catch and shoot from early on. It's not like he developed these skills after KG and RA arrived.

It's actually not that easy to develop new skills for superstars. Think about it, you've got the number, got the fame, got the stats by playing your way, you can demand role players and coach to complement you, why do you want to change it?

True, but think about guys like Jordan and Kobe Bryant-- superstars developed new skills as their career went on. Kobe, for example, was working with Hakeem on psot moves. As a result, both of these guys remained at a high level even into their 30s when their athletic abilities declined.

There are guys who, like McGrady (and Francis and Marbury, though these two are definitely less talented than McGrady), who are happy to have a skillset that give them stats and money at a young age when they still have the hops and speed. The guys who end up winning at a high level for a long time, though, either have or developed skills that allow them to be successful even when their bodies decline.
