Tmac did a lot of positive things for Houston despite there being some negatives. Booing, i feel, he has not earned but rather some applause of appreciation.

Of course, with that being said, that clapping in Houston won't continue when the game starts.

How are we gonna react?? Let me ask you, are we like the people in Cleveland? I certainly hope not.

I dont deny their talents, im just saying if thats the standard, than a lot of players should not have their numbers retired! Players like Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Allen Iverson, Dominique Wilkins, Nate Thurmond, George Gervin, Pistol Pete, Elgin Baylor, Reggie Miller, and Patrick Ewing! You gonna tell me that none of them deserve their jerseys in rafters, come on bro!

And theres no hate for them because fans were "real" back then! It didn't matter if a player got hurt to much, that player played for THEIR team and they were gonna love him no matter what! You wanna talk about loyalty, how about a fan show some loyalty for once!

you show alot of loyalty to McGrady, everybody else shows alot of loyalty to the Rockets.

those players won MVPs and took their teams in the finals and were significantly more successful team wise and individual wise for their teams.

give it up dude. stop embarrassing the rest of the tmac fans, cause you know they want orlando to retire his jersey too.

Your right, my bad! I thot u meant played, thats my mistake.

Yes, im aware that he coached us, no need to get smart.

Let me ask you something smart guy, lets say hypothetically, McGrady, 15 years from now becomes a commentator for us, Orlando, or even Toronto, and he does that for 15 years, does that automatically give him the right to have his jersey retired for that team?

It doesn't matter what you do after you retire, its what happens on the court!
What Rudy, Murph, Dream, Clyde, and Malone did ON the court, got their jersey in the rafters!

Dont question my loyalty to the rockets! I haven't lived in Houston for almost 10 years and im always the only Houston fan around, if i wasn't loyal, i wouldn't be a fan! And no his jersey should not be retired with orlando, he was a much more complete player with us!

INDIVIDUAL WISE! If you wanna talk about individual wise, Tmac is one of the first to be brought up! U just don't like the guy, thats all!

if you are a houston fan, you should know how great this organization is and that the names in the rafters aren't for people like mcgrady. those people are hall of famers, legends, people who were critical to the organization.

believe me, I wanted him to be great like moses or dream, everyone did.
but he wasn't so doesn't belong up there.

he's on the video they play at toyota center, that's good enough..

I got my tickets. I'm not sure if I'm going to boo him or not. He gave us some good memories that I'll always miss, but he also left on bad note that still left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I think he's worth a clap, maybe a short stand... he really did play well here despite the drama. He's def. not worth hatred like James and Cleveand lol.

just now noticed ur "history lesson" above and honestly I'm insulted that you would ask me that, Ralph Sampson tutered the dream.

That's the thing, he was great like the other hall of gamers I mentioned earlier were, he had MVP type seasons with us and orlando!
The difference with me and u is that u let the way he left blind u of how great he was and I don't!

This just gonna repeat itself if we continue, we'll agree to disagree that tmac is one of the top 8-9 players in rocket history!

He deserves nothing less than a standing O. He lead the Rockets to excellent records during the many times Yao was out and made us a plausible contender almost every year. Like him or hate him, you can't deny that he always stepped up big during the playoffs. The only players posting similar numbers were Kobe, Lebron, and Wade. He was a true superstar who had a bit of trouble coming to terms with how quickly his skills eroded. Show some respect.

I would clap for him. He made a lot of plays for the Rockets. The good outweighs the bad.

dude. stop. read for once. it's ok, we all make mistakes. this is common knowledge that Olajuwon became the player he was in COLLEGE when he was training with Moses Malone. Olajuwon says it himself.
