What good service, he took us no further than Steve and Cat. We should have kept them to begin with.

Why would Tmac sabatoge the trade proposals for him with this micro fracture surgery? I think it's more saving face then anything.

Why does he care anymore what team he's on? He's guaranteed to get his money no matter what team he's on.

I just don't get this sabotage potential trades with the micro fracture surgery angle. I just think he's just saving face and he's doubting his own body.

a small decision to dog it in rehab could have cost him his career. irony at its finest. this should be further confirmation to the old mantra that hard works pays and laziness simply doesn't.

How many games did Tmac the quitter cost the rox this year? 4 to 6 is my estimation. Bite me Tmac.

I think it's pretty obvious he did this to avoid getting traded. Doctors clear him to play but he keeps searching for another opinion. He hears his name in trade talks before the deadline and decides to sit citing his knee "injury".

Then when he is told that his knee does not require surgery, he wants to find a doctor that tells him that he will need surgery.

I wish the best for Tracy but i really have no hope in him coming back and contributing, IF he ever does go back to the NBA and i can't believe im saying this he will just be a michael finley type player and end up retiring when he realizes hes not effective as he used to be..PLEASE prove me wrong Tracy but i think you just got on the same road as Steve Francis

I am with you on this one.. It's the Rox who tries to delay the news and try to trade Tmac away...

I can understand from the management's standpoint, but I really feel bad for Tmac... Oh well, I wish him nothing but the best...

    F YOU MCGRADY!!!!

You didn't even tell the team you were doing this because you were too busy trying to screw the team out of any potential gain they could have got by trading your sorry ass!!!!!

    I freakin' despise you!!

Damn it Tmac, didn't you say you'd be fierce this season? Didn't you say after your last two week lay off that the pain is gone? Didn't you say that you were back, that the two week layoff has done you good? What the hell happened?!?!

When we got Tmac here 4 years ago I never thought the Tmac-Yao era would end so badly :(

The Rockets must be ready to throttle him for blabbing so hard about his injury right before the trade deadline. There is no need for him to say jack. He did this deliberately. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade him to the worst team in the east for garbage

If he thinks rehabbing from a NON-INJURY is tough, wait till he has to do it from microfracture surgery!

This surgery is not going to end his career. It is however, the end of the all-star Tmac we followed from Orlando to his early years as a Rocket. He's 29, after the surgery, he may be healed up by early next year. However, he won't be able to produce right away, it's going to take awhile to get back in the game like K-mart or he will never get back like Franchise.

Personally, I believe he will be back, not as a great player but as a role player like Grant Hill.

I'm just curious what trades the Rockets will make now that Tmac is out.

I was thinking Grant Hill too, until I remembered T-Mac's fragile ego. Maybe he can go ass-kick in the Chinese league in 2011.
