Adelman is right. There should definitely be some sort of protocol to handle this injury business. Perhaps if we had some sort of protocol, this mess wouldn't be as huge. Everyone shares blame on that.

Yes it does, but it is clear McGrady is making a decision that has huge ramifications to the Rockets, they should have done it together.

Though, my guess is McGrady did not want to be traded, and is tired of the Rockets saying he needs to play through it.

I hate guaranteed contracts for this reason....

    Oh well, hopefully he either.

    1. Comes back healthy next year
    or
    2. The team gets the $12 million medicial exception and can trade his contract as well.

Just wondering, what are Rafer's numbers when TMac is out?

It's about time T-Mac started realizing it's time to rest that knee and wait till next year for him. For the Rockets? They are fine without him, still contenders in the West and probably a dark-horse at this point.

His trade value will probably come back in the off-season when they realize he's been working to get that knee back. I'm sure people would love to have Bynum in the off-season if they were willing to trade him, he did suffer a knee injury himself.

This is true. And in most cases a bridge is burned either way.

From the sound of Friedman's blog, it looks like Tmac made a bonfire out of this one.

I can't believe this clown went from a glorified "I'M BACK 100%" video just 2 weeks ago, to this current pathetic state

"When you have great players, we want to keep them, guys who work as hard as he does," Alexander said. "He's a model NBA player. We want to keep him for the rest of his career."

    1. Great Statement

    2. I´m young, he´s young and i can wait for another year...

    3. we´re still a good team who can beat everyone in this league

    Freeking Jake.

And to think I defended him before.

Wore out his welcome in Toronto, Orlando and now Houston.

Guess it hurts him to see the team play better team basket ball with Von Wafer in the starting lineup than with Tmac.

wouldn't it be great if the Rockets find a trade for McGrady tomorrow and just sign him off without telling him or his agent, like ever. Let him find out he's been dealt to the Bucks for Jefferson on ESPN.

The most honorable thing Tracy can do is to announce his retirement and move on. Everyone wins if he does this.
