i like how he is determined to come out with fresh legs. the thing i am concerned is that whether 2 weeks' strenghthening would do any good to his fragile knees? in saying this, however, i would still hope he is back at full strength.,coz we aint go far without super talents.
I'm curious, why is it so far fetched to think that Tracy wrote this? You mean, just because hes a pro athlete that makes millions, he can't sit on a computer and write his own blog? I guess he has somebody doing everything for him right? Probably got some lookaklike to do his knee rehabs. Oh these celebs and their millions. Do they ever do anything by themselves? T-Mac: Hey guy, come here. Guy: What is it this time sir? T-Mac: I feel like coughing. But since I'm famous, I no longer have to do things like coughing. I pay chumps like you to cough for me. Now, cough. Guy: *coughs* T-Mac: Thanks. Now tell Jamal to get to the gym and do my strengthening workouts. Make sure you tell him to go all out. I want everyone to know I'm serious about rehab this time.
what kind of PR person uses "full throttle" as a term. i'm sure someone read over this and made it sound more "professional" b/c we know tracy didn't go to college.
Anyone besides me doubting that T-Mac actually wrote this himself? Anyone remember the Spin Doctors? "This place been a whole lot happier since the bi_ch left town..."
I personally think this 'getting back to 100% percent' is nonsense. I highly doubt we will ever see the old Tracy again, and by old I mean from last year, not the 04-05 McGrady. The way he has been running/walking all season long is not a good sign. And two weeks off is not going to fix the problem, it will merely help his confidence and relieve the pain from his knee, nothing much more. Sorry to be the bubble breaker, but get used to seeing the lingering T-Mac the rest of the season. I say this because he seems to be taking these NECESSARY two weeks off to just get the pain and soreness out from his knee not to return 100% (highly doubtful). When he comes back and plays for an extended period including back to backs, he will start feeling that soreness and pain once again.
nobody who watches basketball can think he will ever go back to the 04-05 tmac. that tmac is LONG gone. the athleticism and explosiveness are not what they once were. HOWEVER, he played on this same bum knee LAST YR and he played well, esp. in the playoffs. so if he can get back to that level (around 21-22, 6, 7), we're back in the contender mix. and he was playing at that level when he returned from his 2 week rest (21, 7, 7) before sucking until now. he just needs to get over that soreness in his knee and develop enough strength where he can play and play well consistently. and tracy CAN get back to that level. the knee CANNOT be worse than what it was last yr.
t_mac1, If Grady is still a Rocket after the trade deadline and somehow magically returns to form, you deserve props for your undying support for him. On the other hand, if this truly is the end as most people at CF.net and the Chron and around the rest of the basketball world seem to think, you will forever be remembered as a Grady slurper. In fact, that would be a cool CF status to replace "Rookie", "Member", etc... "Grady Slurper".
LOL. I agree. If t_mac1 is right he can shove it in everyones face. Although I commend his continuous support for McGrady, I highly doubt we will see the McGrady from last year, unless its a contract year. Just saying.
why would i care if i get something right or wrong? if tracy comes back right and is helping the team, that is expected. i'm just supporting him wholeheartedly b/c he's been our best player since he's been here. if he comes back and continues to suck, and the team wants to move on and trade him, i'm fine with that too. i'll still continue to pour my love for this team. i'm optimistic b/c tracy's knee cannot be any worse than last yr. he just has to get over that frustration and just deal with it. hopefully he can do that over this time off. if he can and the team is ready to move on, then let's move on.
Last year's T-Mac doesn't appear to have lost that much athleticism from 04/05. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd2gg9iORd4
