that's more victories than T-mac had winning playoff series as a starter for any NBA team.

I am disappointed 99ers did not show up as a team and battle for tinman. Honestly, if I didn't vote tinman, results would have been more lopsided.

Maybe 99ers have Methrocker on ignore....

The real Rockets fans 99ers showed up as a team and battled for truth. The results clearly show that. The numbers are clear. #factsonly

I've been staying away from this thread, but the title finally got to me. He actually said that? Ask Charles Barkley his opinion. Ask any great player in the Hall whether they'd prefer to have their name there, or a ring. Anyone besides McGrady, of course. He was a great player himself, when healthy, but the man will forever be a goofus. In my humble opinion.

The way I see it, Clutchfans needs to continue staying above Lakersground / Spurs Talk / etc by having mature, analytical discussions. This place seems to have a Reddit crowd here recently.

So listen up sons, we got problems. For now, I'll blame it on the offseason.

Agreed. If we got rid of the loser of the popular vote in this poll, we could make ClutchFans great again.

This is probably true, and you know what's why TMac is saying this. He's trying to massage his own ego, which is lame. He is not well-spoken and is the king of foot-in-mouth.

However, removing McGrady from the equation, the idea that the Hall Of Fame is a more elite group than championship winners is probably true. Like I've said earlier in the thread, championships are whimsical things. They're a mixture of fortune, circumstance, health, matchups, reffing, timing, and team dynamics. Players who win them can take all the credit they want. But I won't sit and pin the blame on players who don't win them.

Also, players love championships, fans love championships.
Players love hall of fame, fans couldn't care less.

Nice post. The only thing I'd probably disagree with would be the fans not caring about the Hall. Many do not, I agree with that much, but fans of a particular team care a great deal about their team's players getting in. And not just players. Example? I'm a fan of UH basketball and football, and every year Guy V. Lewis didn't make the Hall, I got ticked off. My late father was a casual friend of his (faculty dances and the like) and we went to the games when we could. Coach was a sweet guy and really influenced the game. So I guess what I'm saying is, it depends!

Exactly. So what you're saying is any true Rockets fans should be DELIGHTED when any Rocket is elected to the Hall of Fame. Only fake fans are mad that T-Mac got elected to the Hall of Fame. Him being a first ballot hall of famer should be celebrated yet the fake fans find a way to be pissed off about this!

The headline is made for ESPN sensationalizing, and i don't think it was perfectly articulated, but he's right.

For example: Adam Morrison has two championships. What he did as an individual to get those rings would be laughed at in the HOF conversation.

Having a ring doesn't always mean you have a meaningful legacy in the NBA. HOF ALWAYS means you have a meaningful legacy.

also, i'm twenty six pages late to this convo so i'm sure that this isn't adding anything new.
