It must not take much to offend you if that comment about Keith Jones does the trick. And you offer no rebuttal to that statement about his injuries...

My "b****ing" isn't the result of a few games either. We're talking about a 6-11 stretch that both he and Yao have been consistently in the lineup (sans a couple games). My "b****ing" is the direct result of his lack of effort when his team needs him and his leadership now more than ever. If he's coasting through a stretch of games while the Rockets are 10 games over .500 at this point of the season, then I'd have less of a problem with it. But the Rockets are looking more and more mediocre, and honestly, we all know he's the best option to help right the ship. There's a big difference in the two situations.

But whatever. I've never said I want him gone. Other "haters" might want him gone, but the lowest point I've reached with him is to say that I'm sick of his act. Yes he has been stellar, but when you can see that he's STILL leaving much to be desired as far as effort, and putting up numbers...which says a lot about how much untapped potential he still has in him. He's putting up the numbers he is, while looking disinterested and unmotivated. Imagine if he actually was playing like he was awake!!! That's the point. Don't settle with where you're at...strive to be the best you can be. We don't see that from him.

Truth is, I don't want him gone. I just want him to play hard every night. But if that's too much to ask of a multi-million dollar professional athlete (and there's no way that it is too much to ask), then maybe I do want him, Mike James and anybody else who is too good to give an effort every night...gone.

Francis has got to be the most "in denial about his erosion of abilities" basketball player in the history of the league.

Did you just say "the Rockets will be fine when all is said and done and will be among the top 5"? The Rockets have already lost twelve. They will need to go 40-18 from here on out just to match last season's record. You think they'll go 40-18? And then, if they do, which puts them at the same record as last year, what will they be in the top 5 of? Dwyane Wade's cell phone?

Now, you really think all the "haters" are not as fair as yourself? Why, because you're nice and they're mean? You're smart and they're stupid? Actually, putting T-Mac in the same group with Bonzi, MJ and so on is not fair. He's got a mega contract that really restricts the team's options and he gets major minutes: more is and more should be expected from him than from MJ or Bonzi.

OK, let's say he's got some injuries now and he is DYING to get healthy and get on the court and throw it down in someone's face. Let's go with that. I can't wait for his big comeback from the injuries. Throw it down, big man!!!

Do you really think he has deteriorated to the point that he can't hit double figures anymore? That is what the article is implying.

Quit believing everything some sportswriter jams in an article just to take up print space.

His skills may have eroded but Francis is still a top 20 point guard in the NBA.....................easy.

There's no doubt he has not been his best the past few weeks and his effort has been lacking but you refuse to accept that he's been playing hurt so I don't know what else to tell you. I know T-Mac needs to be at his best for this team to win b/c when he's been at his best this team has won 50+ games but you guys seem to have completely soured on him because the results haven't gone our way after you put up overblown expectations for this team. You guys act like he's been bad all season, forgetting how he started off great and only decline after the injuries have occurred.

Like I said, I am willing to wait and see, you guys can keep your b****in and moaning and dogging of him but it's not doing any good cause I don't think he will be traded. The crying and name calling is getting old already, that's my complaint b/c I know they will be fine in the end (what your end is probably differs from mine b/c I didn't think this team would win the championship this year like most of you have been blindly believing since training camp). I want them to win sooooooooo bad but I know that the pickups this summer were questionable at best b/c we were rellying on huge "ifs"

Simerdown dude...the Rockets have had one of the toughest schedules in the league so far...with JVG's first season with T-Mac and Yao the team was 11-13 and went on to win 51 games, that's 40-18...not impossible. Probably not a good situation to be in but again I am the type who doesn't develop the sky is falling attitude many people on here have.

    Peace

Basically, all your points are predicated on the opinion that he's hurt. Fair enough. I disagree.

And it's probably not even worth it to say it yet again...but I DON'T WANT HIM TRADED. If he just plays hard, I'll have no beef with him at all. Grouping me in with that group just shows that you either didn't read all of what I said, or it just didn't sink in.

As for righting the ship and being confident that it'll happen...we shall see. I sure hope you're right.

Well... At least tmac and francis seem to get along outside the court. They just have problem executing with each other on the court...

I think that because I've seen him play this year. Have you? He's AT BEST the third best point on his own team, which is 12-13 now, and you have him at top 20. Laughable.

And I don't think the author made up the Francis quote - what are you even talking about?
