Had 43 not started this crap in the first place 44 wouldn't have needed be over there in the first place 44 didn't fail by not getting involved who know whats going to happen now with assad is he going to do it again will Russia try to bigfoot there way in to save him again.
I think Russia helped Trump get elected and that some of the people close to him were in cahoots with the Russians who thought they would be getting someone they could control. Russia made a terrible error in judgement, the same error that millions of Americans made, the same error Paul Ryan and many GOP politicians made - that they could control Trump. Trump ego is so YUGE that no one can control him. Even if he worked with Russia to get elected, his ego would never let him credit them and therefore they did not help him in his alternative universe. What we are seeing is that Trump will throw anyone under the bus at a whim if they aren't his family. I was very skeptical of Trump's motives but when I heard his speech I do believe he was genuinely affected by the chemical attack on children. I think it genuinely upset him and he felt the right thing to do was to attack that airbase, and he was encouraged by people who saw it as a political opportunity. At the same time, I find it disturbing that Trump decided to attack Syria for that reason - an emotional one and not one based on measured calculated thinking. Powerful people should not make emotional judgments. Assad needed to realize that he could not get away with another chemical attack. It's a shame that Obama could not get support from Congress to attack Syria - just because congress wanted to make Obama look bad. At the same time, it's a shame that Trump didn't even bother to go to Congress or our Allies. So I have mixed feelings about the attack. On one hand, I think it was the right end result, and I am pleasantly surprised Trump attacked Assad's airbase. On the other, it was done in a reckless way which is alarming. I am sure Putin is pretty butt hurt right now. Trump threw Russia under the bus only after a few months. Putin is regretting helping him get elected. Perhaps Trump's people used Russia - while still not ethical by any means, it at least means they weren't compromising the US for Russia which is I suppose a silver lining on this disaster of a president.
Answer the question, dude. What should've been done differently in Syria? Six times you've been called out in thread, man up. Back up your **** talking.
Since it is ILLEGAL for the US to assassinate a Head of State.....what should have Obama done? You are not going to put a large ground force in that mess. There is not ONE Rebel force (there are many......some of which are VERY SHADY.)......so u can't just arm everyone. I would like to know......what should have Obama done different? That redline turned into an agreement with Assad to turn over his chemical weapons. He turned over a lot, but obviously not all. Again......Trump bots, what should he have done?
For starters- remove the chemical weapons! Obama's results were horrible in Syria - you think they were perfect? Just LOL at your idiocy.
Well back to the important thing. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/to...ainers-after-syrian-missile-strike-2017-04-07 Ratheon and other stocks are doing well. Tomahawk missiles need to be built.. Some concern there won't be enough war. Maybe Kuchner and Ivanka have gone into weapons stocks with their inside info?
From an independent journalist who has consistently gotten it correct since before Dubya's War to the present, unlike the NYT and the rest of the compliant mainstream media. He presents the case for strong doubts about the Asad poison case narrative. Trumps Wag the Dog Moment to divert attention from his domestic unpopularity and failures. https://consortiumnews.com/2017/04/07/trumps-wag-the-dog-moment/ The Syrian missile strikes for Assad's alleged gas release does give Trump the opportunity to look strong in the saddle, decisive and even concerned about Syrian children and civilians.
I have said numerous times in this thread that I disagree with what president Obama did in Syria because it clearly didn't work. You know I've said it because you've been tagged in the posts. I even extended an olive branch in one of them by saying that I partially agreed with you. And you call me an idiot? After saying, for years, that whenever somebody resorts to name calling they've lost an argument? It took six call outs to get you to say anything constructive on this topic instead of your usual "Epic Obama fail lulz" and, even then, it wasn't interesting. Nothing about how we should've just removed the chemical weapons. Just more hot air. Looks like you've lost the argument, texxx. *Snort*
Another embarrassment for the United States if you are not a neo-con or easily fooled. It would have been better for the USA for this to have been in closed session. Just embarrassing. A friend back from Australia finds that they are just laughing their asses off over us and Trumpolini's antics.
Well, my high hope for Tillerson and Co. is drying up faster than a Syrian toilet bowl. It now appears that the swamp is doing the draining. If this ship isn't righted fast I could see a truce being brokered between the Tea Party Patriots and the pitch-fork wielding Dems to have an impromptu pink-slip party on the steps of The Monument.
