Yeah I got in. It was up for about 15 minutes, servers crashed after that. Came up again about 2 hours later, was up for 5 minutes then it was closed due to being full.

Have they said who's playing Fader Fort yet? I saw a few names given and none really interested me that much except maybe Solange. Ice Cream Social's lineup on Friday looks great. Less hip, but still great.

yup. cash for food only, shows and drinks should all be free. unless of course you really want to see someone specific, but i just go for the general debauchery with college buddies. worth.it.every.year.
the wristband is actually great, i did it last year and i got in shows that were sold out and i didn't have to wait in the massive line.
First time going to SXSW this year! Got my wristband and RSVP for Fader Fort right when it opened. D Lots of free parties with bands, food, drinks everyday! So many to choose from...

I don't have a wristband so that makes things harder Wednesday- Iggy and the Stooges/Ghostface Killah/The Specials/Japandroids @ Mohawk (if I can get in) Thursday- Pitchfork Day Party (Foxygen, Andy Stott, Toro y Moi, Parquet Courts, bunch more) to KVRX Party (friend is helping run this so I'm going) Friday- Flaming Lips + Divine Fits + Jim James at Auditorium Shores to Black Lips + Deer Tick @ Long Center Saturday- The Zombies + Mikal Cronin + FIDLAR at Waterloo to METZ + Mac Demarco + Ducktails @ Urban Outfitters Should be tons of fun. Also going to the KTRU Show this Saturday at Rice, which has The Cloud Nothings, XXYYXX, Buxton, Fat Tony, Delicate Steve, and a few more
Well pimps be working... Last night at a little past 3 am I got a call from a guy saying he was down in the hotel lobby waiting for the escort he ordered to show up. He kept saying, "she's coming right, I really need some company." Had to tell the poor guy 3 times he had the wrong 512 number before he understood.
I didn't understand the Mohawk page when it said there were also general admission tickets available. If they were cheap enough I might purchase it just to see Ghostface. Going to see Iggy at HangoutFest so more stoked about Ghostface. I figure by late evening the place won't accept anyone in for free.

Uhh Iggy Pop is not playing Hangout...That show at Mohawk should be awesome but my goal is to get into Stubbs for Nick Cave and the YYY's!
I'm seeing Iggy at Free Press but itd be awesome to see him in that little venue. And I love Japandroids, and The Specials and Ghostface would be cool. Me and my friend are planning to get there at least two hours early. I did hear that they will be selling a few passes. And there's also some really big shows going on at other venues, so I hope that pulls some of the crowd away
