Swift's Role and Why he will fit the Rockets

    I agree that their are some definite things Stromile can bring to the table as far as athleticism and shot-blocking. However, the 2 roles we will really need him to step up in are:
    1) Rebounding - JVG preaches this. Yao needs some help to hold down the fort inside. Strong rebounding from the 4/5 spot will aloow us to also get out on the break more and let T-Mac, Head, & even Stro finish with some easy baskets.
    2) Defense against the top-flight PFs - This is what really need. Someone who can hold their own (not shut down ) the great PFs in the West like Duncan, Amare, Dirk, etc. Stro's size & athletic ability make give him a great chance to be the low-post defender we've been starving for for years. However, although he's always blocked shots, he's never really shown the ability to play on the ball defense against the 4s. He's gonna have to work to make this happen, but if he does, that will be his greatest contribution.
