Saw the post game interview with JVG and when asked about Stro he played the part of the patient father and cut Stro some slack. You would think that 2 back to back incidents like this right near the trading deadline would mean a bus ticket out of H-town but I don't think so. If Stro does wind up being traded by the deadline it would show how calculating JVG can be.

I think he's gone, the deal's already in place, and they've gotta get him back active to be able to trade him. JVG can't afford for the deal to blow up so he's putting a little lipstick on the pig.

Rockets forward Stromile Swift was placed on the inactive list after missing the start of Thursday's practice. For the second time this month, Swift arrived late to a session.

"He was late again," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "Nothing malicious. He's a great guy, a great guy. I think he feels genuinely bad. He just has got to be responsible, accountable. I think he understands that. He doesn't want to be cast and shouldn't be as problematic. He's not that."

Swift was also late for practice Feb. 1 and did not play that night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Swift attended Saturday's game, working out as is customary for players on the inactive list.

With Swift out, Rockets guard Jon Barry was activated for the first time since Jan. 8. Barry did not play.

I think a trade package of Swift, Anderson, and Wesley or Mooche's expiring could land the Rocket either Troy Murphy, Lamar Odom, Al Harrington, or Darius Miles. All of those players are rumored to be on the trading block. GS has won two in a row with Murphy on the bench. Lakers offered Odom to NY for Frye but were turned down according to the NY post. Al Harrington is not going to re-sign with the Hawks. If I had to take a guess, I would say if the Rockets do make a trade before the deadline it would be for one of the above mentioned players.

 

Don't forget most of the Knick's roster as well. We haven't made our annual trade with them yet.
