nobody ever complained when shaq used to do that alpha kappa, phi beta bs; so why should every pne trip off of swift's birdman sign?

I don't have problem with Swift's birdman sign. But in several of his hightlights, he put one of his hands (left hand I think) to his crotch area while he is still hanging in the air with another hand. I find that annoying. But I guess it is not intolerable, especially it won't be directed to Rockets anymore.

Who said everyone should trip off?

Edit: I do agree with Rockets2K, it's much ado about nothing.

I found the bird-man thing really annoying, as well as the head thing the clips did a couple years back. I'm just not into players having a "sign" after they do something cool. It's not a big deal or anything, but I just was never into that stuff.

For some reason, I think Swift will stop doing it. I'm sure JVG will tell him first of all and I think (hopefully) that he will mature very quickly and realize it's not all about highlight dunks.

However, I'm sure I'll be excited to see him do it after his first big dunk. And at least he won't be doing it after he dunks on Yao anymore.

The did Rockets have finally done what we've all wished they could have done many moons ago... Got a hellaciously athletic power foward that that throws things out of the same gym that he jumps out of... Now all we need is to pick a point guard that can throw it up to him and T-Mac! 2006 Champs! Hollar!

I think the biggest help from Stro, hopefully, is that Yao can stay on the court a little longer. If Yao increases to 35 MPG like Amare, he can get 20/10 next year.

Q: Is there a reduction in a team's financial obligation to an amnesty player once he signs a new contract with another team? Or can a player double-dip?

A: The league says no, there's no reduction, and yes, double-dipping is permissible. That's why the biggest beneficiaries of the amnesty clause are the players released under this provision. They don't lose any money from the team that waives them and they have the opportunity to fully double-dip.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

I hope we can work out a sign and trade with Grizz so that we can save our MLE for the potential amnesty players like finley.
