Yeah, they got some real mensa members over there, all right. LOL

That is part of what is so nice about this board - most of the posters here (even the ones for whom English is a rather, um, new experience) are at least competently literate.

I'm hoping I'm the first to notice this:

So now, we have a Stro as a Rocket and a Rocket as a Stro. Of course we have several Texans as Texans, already.

Until July 22nd or whenever the moritirium is lifted the ballclubs can't officially make any comments on these FA signings. Right now only the players and players agents are talking.

Also, nothing means squat until it's in ink and paper. There's cause for us to be happy, but we should save the real celebration for August 1st, when Stro puts his name on the paper.

I think it is a direct translation from one of the articles post in this forum, I don't know which one though. It is a little bit suprising because sina often does the same thing without mentioning clutchfans.net, and under the same chinese author too.

Edit: I found it. It is a DIRECT translation of Clutch's article "Swift Move Is Houston Coup" Link

Famous rocket fan site clutchfans.net. Other parts are too long to translate at the moment.

Well, the Rockets are not allowed to comment on Swift until the free agent signing period begins.

NBA.com is probably keeping along the same lines but they may have a small link on the side bar with latest news. I know they link to different publications' stories.

Getting Stro was a good move. I like it!

As I understand it, the Grizz offered him a new contract worth $8m per year last summer when he was restricted, but he rejected the offer. Instead, he is apparently joining our team for much less. So...

    1. The Grizz thought Stro was worth $8 million a year? Interesting....

    2. Stro must really have wanted to start, and I don't blame him. It couldn't have been fun backing up a grade A jerk like Gasol.

Whatever Stro's reasons were for joining the Rockets, I'm happy. He isn't really outstanding (yet) in any aspect of the game other than dunks, but he's going to help us in a lot of ways. Others have noted his shot blocking and overall defence, his fast breaks, etc. I'll just mention that his mobility and general athleticism should really help Yao to cut down on fouls, and that in itself could be huge for us.
