With both players we are going to have a nice instant offense help at the 4. We will still lack defensive presence unless howard gets better at helping on the weakside which we really need.

Through out his career he hasn't done much of that but that doesn't mean he can't change. Mo is not going to play defense and we know that so we can use him off the bench to score points when Howard might not be.

Is there any way we can ship Howard to Chicago + part of our TE for one of their excessive PG's Hinrich or Crawford plus JYD? Then we can use or MLE to sign an average PF/C like Booth to back up MoT. I just think Chicago is the one team that will deal with us for Howard, if we so choose to go in that direction.

Horry had to D up Karl Malone, Tim Duncan, KG, Barkley etc
He's the original Tashan PRINCE of Bellair.
His length and shot blocking has given other PF trouble.

With Tmac/Yao/Horry we have 3 shot blockers.

You can if you say it was part of a three way trade. I can't think of any instances off the top of my head, but it has happened before where "the rest of the trade" was announced a day or 2 later.

In other threads it was established you can't combine the TE with a player in a trade. Also Crawford is a free agent, I beleive, and there is no way Chicago is going to trade Hinrich for anyone we have left on our team.

Outrageous statements?? You're the one making them Willis25. Unbelievable. Perhaps you need to watch more Non-Rocket games.

To say Howard is much better than Horry is downright stupid. Howard does some things better than Horry, and Horry does some things better than Howard.

Kind of ironic that your moniker is Willis, a player that is the king of playing on teams where he was the Kryptonite on them. So no wonder why you like Juwan Howard. (And dont bother bringing up Willis being on the 2003 champion Spurs, he played around 70 total minutes in the playoffs, and when Willis had his big minute games in the Spurs 2003 run, the Spurs lost the majority of those games. and in the game the Spurs won, Willis was only playing in garbage time)

Howard and Taylor both have offense, but not much defense.

What they bring to the team is very similar, and this is the problem, since both have bad contracts.

If the Rockets find the hard nosed big man, they've needed for years, then there won't be enough minutes for both Taylor and Howard.

    Solution.

Trade one of them for the hard nosed big man.

Are their any thugs out there with contracts as bad as Taylors?

No, because PJ Brown presents the same problem as Kelvin Cato. He allows the opposing 4 to collapse upon Yao. The 4 opposite Yao needs to be able to hit the midrange jumper.

Is Seattle still interested in Mo? Maybe we can do a sign'n'trade for Barry + Rashard (?) for Mo + TE. It seems excessive to have Howard and Mo, since they have very similar games.

The solution is to get rid of one of them and sign McDyess.

Right now, I'd rather trade Howard because, apparently, MoT has been working VERY hard on his game this summer. Just like last summer. If he's really working hard on improving his body to the point where he shaves off all the baby fat and adds some strength/muscle, he could very well be worth his contract.

I think Juwan Howard could find a home somewhere. How about we send him to the Sonics for Calvin Booth and their draft pick next year?

Eddie Griffin would be nice too if he's actually better built and stronger (muscle) than before.

I'm very excited about next year. I'm extremely happy with a Yao/MoT/JJ/T-Mac nucleus. We could add Eric Snow, but I'd much rather add a Brent Barry - that teams needs better shooting.

If Juwan Can give us a Solid Low post Target and gets 15 points a game about 8 boards to with that, I'll be ecstatic!. Anything above that is additional Bonus!

Howard, Taylor, and Spoon will be almost impossible to trade, so we better get use to seeing them in a Rockets uniform.

The only way those guys get traded is if the Rox take a bad contract in return.

just because have a high enough basketball IQ to know that Howard is better than washed up Robert Horry does not make is a Howard fan - I actually don't care for the guy, but he will be a nice 3rd or 4th option

first off - Howard is better than Horry... deal with it. In 2003-2004 Howard played 35 minutes, scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Horry ONLY played 15 mins scored less than FIVE points a game and grabbed 3 rebounds... looks like HOWARD is better

and as for trying to dis my name, it has nothing to do with Kevin Willis or even Willis Reed...

I won't tell you, but I will give you a hint...

These players are well past their prime, we need a player that can grow with this young developing team, not a has been.
