I might be the only one but I like the foul Collins gave smith. It was flagrant and he should be suspended but its an old school way of sending a message. After he did the foul, you saw him put his hands up and didnt really react to smith, it was the other players who escalated it (melo and robinson)

Yeah, that trip to the '99 finals was really devastating.

Seriously, though, Gundy left when he saw the ship was sinking despite him, and there was nothing he could do. Management in NY has been atrocious for the last 7 years or so, even before Isiah. Isiah just took it to a new level of bad.

exactly, it wasn't that bad, he tried to hold him up, and he was stopping him from running up the score.

A good hard foul is if you chop his hands. Going head hunting is not a good hard foul

I don't see how anybody can defend that foul by Collins. That clothesline was straight out of WWE. At least try to ATTEMPT to go for the ball if you're going to foul somebody hard. If you don't want the other team to run up the score, then stop them from scoring...

I'm not saying it wasn't a flagrant, or doesn't warrant suspension, but it could have been a lot worse. it wasn't a clothesline and he didn't throw him to the floor. he grabbed him, no doubt, he was sending a message, no doubt, but he didn't try to hurt him.

if someone clotheslined a guy who was in the air, he would do serious damage to that player.

The games suspended are just, although I thought it would have been more games for Melo...The fines, wow...that is amazing...I can't believe it, but understand the message being sent...

I thought the foul by Raja Bell was worse when he threw Kobe, then what Collins did to Smith

it was flagrant, but it wasnt as bad

Yeah, he could have stepped on his nuts and kicked him in the head. Thank God for small favors.

Yeah, Smith just fell to the floor on his own

    You just keep thinking that

You're right. Thank god that Collins didn't wait until Smith was in the air before trying to break his neck. I'm sure Sports Illustrated will take that into consideration when Marty Collins is up for Sportsman of the Year next year.

Man, I hate that little punk ass Nate, he seemed to enjoy the mêlée and acting pure thuggish!

Don't you just love these NBA fights, over grown sissies who can't even throw a proper punch, I trained with real fighters all the time and a real fighter can laid these fakers out with a few blows.

So stop your pseudo fights, grow up and try to play some basketball!

did jr smith throw a punch? i think he did, so the ten games is about right.
same for robinson who escalated the fight into what it became.
carmello got the worst because he threw a closed fisted punch after the fight was already over. he didn't start it but he didn't have to be in it either.
