That's exactly what I thought. They should've just called it a tie after regular time, and continue today at Memphis.
Yeah I would be pissed too, if I have to work till 11:00pm at night and don't get paid extra for it knowing they will need me get on the plane at 12:30am at night and work on the same $tuff again tomorrow....
It p*ssed me off how Worrell and Bullard kept on saying they wanted to go home. There are three kids out on the court who are not going to make the team, and they would rather not watch them play, because it's getting a little late. We need a new announce team. It is God awful. Even Worrell.
The underlying issue is that they don't want to see anyone get hurt. Preseason games are as meaningless to announcers as they are to rotation players. Is it really that important to watch the 3 kids who aren't going to make the team? And what's up with your sig? If you show any slight indication that you are a Mavs fan, you'll get lit up on this board. Not by me, but by some other 2,000 posters. Just a heads up....
I didn't read through your entire post, I just stopped here. It was the last play of the game and we had a fould to give. So Stevie did the correct thing by fouling Lowery. Leave him alone. I'm now going back to read the entire post...
Gotcha, no big deal. . I've watched this board for a few years, and although I don't post much, I know what can get you killed, and being a Mavs fan can get it done.
You're overeacting,It's only one preseason game. Some things that happen in locker room, stay in the locker room, that's all. Every team goes through it.
You can imagine how Suns fans fell when commentator says that Amare and Marion don't talk. It's much worse case than we have.
So "parasolid" means "almost" Solid. Keep trying, eat your Wheaties, say your prayers and one day......
T-Mac's passion for the game is a tiny, flickering, pilot light of workmanlike resolve. He is no MJ. Jordan would cut your heart out in a pick up game. TMac shows up, does his thing, goes home. I know it is preseason and meaningless, BUT, what you saw does have meaning. TMac can be, when healthy, could be the best player in the game, but, frankly, he lacks the fire of an NBA legend like MJ, Bird, Magic, and so on. I have followed his career since he came into the league. Unfortunately, Yao is a similar temperament. If Mike James had TMac's talent he would be unstoppable. If Yao had the passion of Steve Francis, players would be flying into the stands. But, people are who they are. The Rockets have brought in some Sura-like people for this purpose, FIRE.
Man I agree with your predictions maybe but you need to take this down...it makes you look like a dumbass.
Anyone who replied "It's preseason" or "I don't want 'them' hurt" ... or those implying I thought the starters should be trotted back out there.... you're missing my point. Perhaps it's because my post was too long... sorry, but I thought I'd cite expamples there so it wouldn't look like I was just complaining about nothing. Yes, I understand it is preseason, I said that, and yes, I know it was a long trip for a back to back etc. and even asked if I was making too much of it... but no one cares who won or lost too much, at least I didn't in my original post... I just thought it was weird to see our team acting like they didn't want to play... announcers acting inconvenienced... etc. I think that mlwoo seemed to understand my point best. There are half a dozen people on this team that should WANT those minutes... but didn't seem that way. Mostly it was bill, clyde and bull that bothered me, and mostly they were kidding, but you add TMAC's complaint (no he shouldn't be in there at that time, but he should be a better leader as someone pointed out) and Francis (good foul, maybe, but he wanted out) and all the rest and it just didn't look like the Rocket organization/team/mindset I've known.... Preseason or not... long trip or not...it just seemed... lame. That's all... just seemed... lame. Thanks for everyone's input
