I was just looking around and was quite shocked and pleased to see that Rafer Alston was the 12th best rebounding PG in the league last year. And that includes guys like Lebron James & Dwayne Wade as PGs. Maybe Sura won't be as big of a loss as we all fear ...
Bill Worrell said on the broadcast last night that the Rockets said yesterday they were expecting Sura back by January.
That would be great, but he may not have a spot to play when he comes back... I think this team is quicker on the perimeter and will probably jell very well, both DA, and Skip are better at the entry pass than Sura.....and both are better passers and shooters..... Sura is tougher, and is a better rebounder, but I think he may have a hard time finding PT....at least I hope that is right, because that would mean the Rockets are rolling baby ! DD
JVG already said we would have a problem if everyone was healthy because there wouldn't be enough PT. This could precipitate a trade in February if Sura comes back strong.
but who will be moved to make PT for sura? not skip, da, head, or barry. i guess you can make a case to move wesley but wesley is still the better perimeter defender and shooter. i guess sura will be the backup PG and take whatever minutes head will get. luther will just have to wait a year to make the rotation, JB, wesley, and sura won't be here much longer. head can fill the first open spot.
