    That's not the point.

I challenge anyone who has watched the Rockets games to identify why Sura does not attempt to make an immediate entry pass rather than dribbling the other direction and swinging the ball around.

Watch the tape and he does this every single time.

The only 2 players who even attempt to make the entry pass are TMac and Jon Barry, and occassionally David Wesley.

May it be the plays? I am thinking may be all our plays call for the PG to swing the ball to the other side initially instead of feeding it to the post right away. It seems to me that's the only possible explanation why we almost have never seen Sura make entry pass to Yao.

Stop talking about Sura. No matter he is good or bad, I don't see any sign of seeing him next year in this team. There will be more change. And now I am worrying about JVG since it's time for F$$king Stern to revenge. We will see.

Sura is all heart, not too much smart. He often plays out of control.

I don't think he is dumb, maybe just bad habits die hard, like JVG said, some players coming from losing teams.

I don't want to bash Sura, but sometimes I think people are really tolerant of him. Whenever some of his mistakes are pointed out, we have to say something like hustle and rebounding.

I know he is not 100% body-wise, but I think rox has to get a better starting pg to go to the next level.

I don't want to blame Sura.

But he doesn't deserve starting as PG.

Get anyone that has better control and passing skills.

That, together with a strong PF, we will win it all.

Does this play make any sense??? When Yao has position and not fronted, why on earth Sura refuses to pass to him??? And Sura is so consistent at that, i.e., never pass to Yao. And I always see Barry and Wesley try to pass to Yao.

    I can't understand!

Sura was good for us this year. He is what he is.

We lost this series 'cause Tmac and Yao didn't close out game 3 or 4 in the 4th quarter.

But they'll regroup and make another run at the trophy next year.

Sura played great for us this season and was really the X-Factor like many of ya'll predicted.

But I don't think Sura will work in the long run. The guy is the ultimate competitor, he's tough, and can rebound the ball well. Unfortunately, he also has a hot head and get's himself (and the team) in trouble sometimes.

IF we do deal a PG this summer, I'd rather deal Sura than James.

I am pretty sure that's plan B. There is no reason JVG wouldnt want Yao touch the ball when he has his man sealed. But it's split second. Sura isnt a PG to make such a quick decision. He is more willing to look for Tmac. Our offense hence is too predictable and too scripted.

I've long noticed this as well. In the many rocket games I've watched this year I've only noticed him making an entry pass to yao once. I was so surprised that I nearly fell off the couch.

My thought was that he just couldn't stand how soft Yao was. But then he took down howard the other day, presumably in retribution for what howard had been doing to yao, so maybe he *does* like yao.

It's a mystery. Whatever you say about ward, he's a pass-first guy. He's not that good, but he's relatively hard-nosed and would get the ball to yao. Right now Mcgrady has to be first scorer, top defender, AND pg.

Anyone notice that yao did have 3 30-point games? Not too shabby, especially if you somehow overlook the last one.

Starters other than yao and mcgrady 3-17 in the recent game...

It's just so funny that whenever someone mentioned Sura's post passing problem, someone else jumps out, saying the Rockets won't be here if not for Sura's heart, and the guy is a warrior, etc.

No one is doubt the guys's heart, we are talking a pattern, which is so obvious to everyone who watched the game. Why cannot we just stick to the point, not get too sensitive here.

Personally, I don't think Sura was trying to ignore Yao, or JVG would have sit his ass on the bench. I believe the problem was a combination of his passing skill, and his lack of confidence of Yao recieving his passing.

I don't think Sura deliberately avoids passing to Yao. Let's face it, Yao doesn't have great hands. In order for him to get a pass in traffic, he needs a point guard with very good passing skills and great timing.

Sura is just an average passer. I'm not blaming Sura or Yao, but those are just the facts. Unless you want to trade Yao, you should bring in an excellent entry passer to complement Yao.

My wife doesnt know what screen means, what pick and roll is and yet she always point out that Sura never passes to Yao when Yao has his man on his back. It drives her nuts. She hates Paddget too, becuase she always can see he plays no D.

We traded Steve Francis away who has a bigger heart than Sura. We need a PG who can pass the rock.

Some of the members have been saying this for a long time, only to be labeled YOF.

    ...

Forget it, that was when Rockets were on a roll.

It's no problem to keep him on bench instead of start. But anyway, we love him with good and bad parts of him.
