I don't want Francis as our point guard. No disrespect, but we need a true point guard and Steve is not a true point guard.

steve had a great game against the rockets but he still lost. That is what steve is about good games but no wins.

OMG!!!! sura went like wut?? 6-15fg, and u call him better than francis???

I say Francis is a better scoreer, better rebounder, better passer and a better defender.

I hope sura didnt broke his ankle by francis crossovers

so far in the season magic is still > rockets

the reason magics lost was b/c of their 2nd chance points

Why can't you give credit when credit is due? I don't think Sura is better all aroud player like Francis, but he did have a good game against him.

Clutch is right. If Steve were on our team - trade him for Brand & Sura. Our most glaring weaknes is the 4. We need a banger in the worst way to help Yao. This is CD's mission in life...

Francis is a better athlete and one on one player than Sura. Sura - though hurt is very efficient - even though hurt. Sura can help this team more and if he can hold up will help this team of two talents and old old players gel.

Please note that when Pat Riley made his deal with the Aronson's in Miami -he had a blank check to build a team. Recall that one of the players Riley wanted was Bobby Sura - playing for Cleveland I think at the time. This enhances Sura's NBA credibility. Riley is a gangster, but has a good eye for talent.

    Sura has the fundamentals.

I do wish we had a Power forward to rebound, block shots, and bang...........

sura didn't do everything sf did, he didn't make a better decision. But he is not expected to be better than sf, end of story.

Francis has a better than .500 record for his career in the games he has played in. The guy might make bad decisions, but the guy has fire. He connects with everyone on his team, and let's everyone borrow from his ample fire and energy. I think that's the intangible you cannot see in statistics, and I think that is a reason why his teams usually have pretty decent records by the end of the season. That's not to say I wouldn't have done the trade. TMac could develop this kind of fire too.

Well see . . that is just it
Now . . . Clutch and you are saying
    Sura and Brand > Francis
    and I'm like DUH!!!!

Co Rookie of the Year + Sura > Co Rookie of the year

basically. . . it is what people always do when it comes to Steve
well . . steve is good. . but PG + PF + X-Factor is better

When they trade happen everyone celebrated
then go . . .well when we get a PG and a PF we will be all world
Now. . . folx saying .. WE NEED SHOOTERS
I have said this for 5 FRICKIN' YEARS

Steve throws a pass to someone .. he did not get it in the right position
Tracy Throws the same pass to the same stop . . .well they not a good shooter
Sura penetrates gets a hard foul and no call . .he got ripped by the ref
While . .same thing with steve. . steve was forcing a shot

Steve can do no right on this board
    and
    at least for this season
every rocket except maybe Mo and yao
gets a pass on alot of stuff

I was actually fixated on this part. An aging Mobley? He is 29 and really has improved his game every year.

BTW, there is no argument. Francis is simply a better overall basketball player than Sura. Francis simply did not fit in the Rockets system, nor was he going to. Sura just fits this system better.

Good Post. I cant believe we are comparing a guy who the Rockets built their team around for four yrs to a guy who is at best our 3td best player. Steve Francis is an All-Star type player and Bob Sura is at best a good role player. Additionally there is not a single GM in this league that would take Bob Sura over Steve Francis.

He will not win the fan vote, but he has a good shot at being a coaches selection.
