This story becomes more and more twisted. Are there more pregnant pre-teen rape victims? Was it not a big deal (for news) before the abortion decision?

Seems like we're being caught behind a Law and Order SVU case.

I guess that's good more visibility means victims aren't falling between the cracks but wow...

Raped by an illegal alien (and maybe they are too) … “Mom” defends rapist. “Everything they’re saying about him is a lie.”

The crazy thing is . . . . If she was able to get the procedure without all the muss
He probably would have gotten away with it

And if he was a US Citizen or raped a 10 year old in Guatemala would that make it better?

They have an exception for rape in Ohio?

many states however are making no exception and limiting access as noted above makes it impossible for these women. Being able to abort a clump of cells (not even a fetus!) because you were raped is not something that should be considered “states rights”

What is your angle? Where did I imply that? You may need to seek help if these are your thoughts.

If you think his immigration status has something to do with the rape then I’m asking if he was in his home country and did this would it make a difference in your own mind.

No. This type of crime, regardless of where it is committed, should be punished by death. Hopefully he is shanked before he returns to his country.

I fully agree he should be punished harshly. What I don’t ageee with is his immigration status having anything to do with this. If he wasn’t in the US and he raped a 10 year old that to me would be as serious as him doing it here.

The governor said it due to it being publicized, but does something like this really need to approval of a governor or why is it in the first place…because it’s deliberately made illegal . Is that what we’re relying on? We like to b**** about our freedoms etc but this ain’t ****ing freedom

if you specifically add a clause in your state law “except in cases of rape..”

    It solves this

But no, there are specifically NO EXEMPTIONS in many of these states which is deliberate and advocating for girls like this to give birth with a 10 year old body.

both the mother (I feel sad using this word for her) and baby if carried to term could die

Mainstream media agrees. He is an "ohio man" in all of the stories. I get it.

If he isn't here, he isn't raping here, the child doesn't get impregnated here, the president of the USA isn't talking about it to push policies.

It makes a huge difference to anyone not making an obtuse argument.

Wait, are these red states allowing abortions for 5th graders as long as their rape is by an illegal immigrant? If that is the case I could understand why someone would care about the immigration status of the rapist, outside of just trying to distract from how insane these Republican laws are to most people.

Fine lets agree that we can do more to prevent illegal immigrants from coming into the US.

Now onto the topic at hand, should victims of incest and rape be allowed to terminate their pregnancies? US citizens commit those crimes too so there will be other instances of minors being impregnated. So what about those women?

Man, they just can't help themselves.

    Always be grandstanding, SMDH.

This is going to bite them hard in the mid-terms.

    https://www.dallasnews.com/news/pol...regnant-womens-care-medical-association-says/

AUSTIN — The Texas Medical Association wants regulators to step in after hospitals reportedly refused to treat patients with serious pregnancy complications for fear of violating the state’s abortion ban.

In a letter sent Wednesday to the Texas Medical Board, the association said it received complaints that hospitals, their administrators and their lawyers may be prohibiting physicians from providing medically appropriate care to women with ectopic pregnancies and other complications.

an ectopic pregnancy as NOT VIABLE and is a medical emergency, all you get out of it is a serious risk to the woman that could be fatal.

When i first read the no exceptions this is the first thing that came to mind, a bunch of bible thumpers that didn't relaly think this through. Molar pregnancies, ectopic pregnancies...not viable but serious health risk to the woman.

Its crazy that they you could not get care ffor something that isn't a viable pregnancy and comes with a very high mortality if untreated/unrecognized
