What's funny is if you overconcentrate a district with black voters, that is racist because you are corralling them into as few districts as possible.

But if you spread black voters out that is also racist because they won't have a majority.

There is some goldilocks % of black voters that is not racist.

I.e. a high enough % to ensure a Democrat is elected, but no higher.

Well if there hasn’t been things like redlining that limited where black people could live for much of the history of the US especially in places like Alabama we wouldn’t need to have an issue over concentrating black people for political balance.

what's the goldilocks concentration that is not racist? 51% black? 60% black?

We all know the answer- enough blacks to ensure a Democrat victory, but no more. That would be wasteful.

Of course you are unhappy that there is a successful effort to make the representation of minorities at least a bit more fair and reflective of the population. I guess you will have to tilt the scales in other states...

Aren't Republicans claiming that they are making inroads into the black vote. So now you're saying that Republicans can't win over black the black vote?

That also ignores that if it wasn't for more than a century of policies that limited black Americans in where they could live this wouldn't be an issue.

Also to add is it your argument that the Supreme Court with a supermajority of Republican appointed members wants Democrats to win districts in AL?
