That would be two consecutive Heat finals runs foiled by a Texas team.

By the laws of poetic justice, this would mean that the Rockets are going to beat the Heat in the 2013 finals.

Root for the Spurs for a Rockets championship.

That's based upon A LOT of hidden assumption. Let's go step by step...

Will the Heat beat the Pacers?

I still don't understand how a dedicated Rockets fan can root for the Spurs or Mavericks to win a championship.

You ever blow a guy for some crack? Same principle. It's been almost 20 years since the Rockets have won a championship. Desperate times breh.

If the Spurs win again then think about this:
    94 - Houston
    95 - Houston
    99 - San Antonio
    03 - San Antonio
    05 - San Antonio
    *06 - Dallas blows it
    07 - San Antonio
    11 - Dallas
    12 - San Antonio

That is 8 titles by Texas teams in 18 years, and probably if not for refs what should have been 9.

1/2 of the NBA titles in the past 18 years (should) have been won by Texas teams. Can any other state with multiple teams match that stretch of dominance in any major sport?

Can there be that many states with multiple teams?? I think Cali, Florida and New York are the only ones able to throw their hat into contention. But regardless you're right, Texas has been dominating.

I truly hope we can keep up the trend
