Are you seriously comparing Iggy to Ariza?!?!?!?!?! Iggy > Ariza In every single way... Spoiler Ariza is more of a spot up shooter. The dude can't dribble without being stripped of the ball. He wishes he was Iggy thought
I guess, in the sense that Eric Piatkowski and Ray Allen are both shooters. Consider that last year Iguodala and Ariza had about the same usage rates and FGA/G, but AI got to the FT line about twice as often and averaged about 6 assists per game, while also grabbing 6.5 boards. I can also confirm that Iguodala doesn't handle like a d******d. He's a lower-middle-class man's Scottie Pippen.
yeah, i know A.I.2 is better than ariza but kinda find it highly suspect that the sixers are so eager to get rid of him. also too me they look similar
The Sixers aren't eager to get rid of Iggy, the only reason Philly would trade him is because he wouldn't work well with Evan Turner (like Kevin Martin with Tyreke) and he's slightly overpaid.
I would like to trade for G. Wallace first (that guy is a beast on defense and offense)! If Jordan doesn't want to trade him, I'd say go after Iggy ... 3th and last option is Prince IMO.
Gerald Wallace isn't an Adelman type of player: <object width="388" height="394" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="ep"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="movie" value="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=teams/rockets/2010/07/20/millerintro072010wmv-1377045" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><embed src="http://i.cdn.turner.com/nba/nba/.element/swf/1.1/cvp/nba_embed_container.swf?context=rockets&videoId=teams/rockets/2010/07/20/millerintro072010wmv-1377045" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="388" wmode="transparent" height="394"></embed></object> http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2010/07/20/millerintro072010wmv-1377045/index.html
I think that the rosterbation game has been played more than a few times. There's only a handful out there that are truly desirable. I think that we'll only get a chance at getting a complimentary star, at any position, to play with Yao is if he stays healthy while showing that he still has the goods and we have a good record come trade deadline.
I doubt we'll able to land a better starting SF than Ariza...at least without trading away other rotation players. But if anyone can make it happen, it's Morey.
Andre Iguodala would make this team unbeatable in a seven game series... IMO... Aaron Brooks Kevin Martin Andre Iguodala Luis Scola Yao Ming That is freaking ridiculous...
Melo is a talented but I don't see him as a winner. Plus I don't like him as a person in general. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LW_U73RK25g?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LW_U73RK25g?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Don't care how good he is, I don't want that type of person with the Rockets. Even choking Vujacic, who I could care lest for, was just not acceptable. Don't wanna cheer for that. Much rather have a guy like Iggy. He can do it all and doesn't carry himself as a thug. Plus he is a world class athlete. Even Coach K on the USA team nicknames him "the athlete" on a team with guys like Rudy Gay and Derrick Rose. Iggy would be exactly what we need playing alongside AB & Martin. A guy that's tough, slashes to the basket, plays defense at an elite level, and sets up other players. Morey's been trying to get him for a while now. Give me Iggy any day.
Iggy was throwing down last night. I knew he was strong and athletic, but didn't know he could run and jump like that. It was a Team USA scrimmage, basically an off-to-the-races exhibition on a funky Radio City Music Hall court, and only one half of basketball. It was nonstop running, and Iggy looked good. He also hit a couple threes. Nothing against Shane or Bud, but...
I think the Rockets should do exactly what they're going to do and that's to sit tight and allow this team to gel and perform as is. There are A LOT of players on the squad who aren't close to reaching their potential and I think it's be foolish to throw them under the bus by making a move.
If that's the case then they shouldn't have been in a rush to get rid of Trevor. The move only makes sense with a second act, unless it was a strictly luxury tax-driven move to save Les money.
