anyone from san antonio? the railroad tracks? St.Mu was haunted according to some people, but I never saw anything.
I read somewhere that despite San Antonio being listed as the location where this tragedy took place, it was actually Salt Lake City. There is no record of any accident like this happening in San Antonio.
Alright. Here's something. I don't believe Harrisment's girl met my folks, but I can get several vochers from people that they're not exactly the type to make stuff up. ie. They're credible. We moved to New Jersey when I was 2-4 yrs. old and lived in a 2 story house with a basement. I can't recall all of the stories, but here are a few I remember being told to me: My Dad was out of town on a business trip. She heard the front door open and close, and heard my dad's voice. She went towards the front of the house. He didn't show up until 5 hours later. My mom was doing laundry in the basement. She put the laundry in and went upstairs. When she came back down to switch it, the laundry had stopped and there were footprints leading away from the machine. There were several times where the curtains would shift and move wildly in the dining room with none of the windows open. My grandmother came over to stay with us. She said she woke up in the middle of the night because the bedsheets were moving about in her bed. We had a babysitter who watched us one night while my parents went out. When they got back, the babysitter said she was freaked out becvause all of the clocks in the house kept randomly changing. My parents were telling their story to another couple who came over. The guy blew it off an went to investigate. After roughly a half-hour, he didn't come back, so everyone went to look for him. Apparently they found him frozen stiff halfway down the basement stairs. When they touched him, he started moving, but he was pale white. He stated that some force had been holding him there, and he wasn't able to move until they came down for him. The couple left immediately afterwards. My dad worked for Exxon, so Exxon bought the house when he was transferred back to Houston. When the house was still up for sale after 6 months, my mom called a neighbor to say hi and see how it was going. The neighbor stated that the cops were being called over to the place every couple weeks because lights kept trurning on and off in various rooms of the house. There are several other stories, but those I recall off the top of my head.
I have relatives who are missionaries in France who in the past have dealt with people who live in areas where the cult is strong and have been affected by demonic prescenses. I'm not sure of all of the details, but they have some pretty freaky stories from firsthand experiences.
Not to turn this into D&D, but recent polls show more Americans believe in ghosts (30%) than support Bush.
I use to believe in that stuff, but as I got older I found that when people actually tried to prove these things happened, they never could. ESP, ghost, possession, whatever...if these things are real and happen all the time, why can't anyone get any decent evidence on them? It's always, 'well this is what I heard', or some freaky event occurs...but strangely wouldn't happen when there is a camera or recorder present. I think people have an innate need to believe in the supernatural, we want something to makes us believe that we're more than just a collection of matter at a particular moment. But that's my wacky thinking... So with that said, there was one moment in my life that I can't explain lol... I was coming home at about 3am after a party one night and was walking up to the door. My friend was following me inside to pick up some games. While we walked up to the door (we had a motion sensor light at the time) the light came on and I heard a voice that sounded like it came right behind my friend (it was very close) that said " hey, turn that light off". I was frightened b/c I know that wasn't his voice and there couldn't have been anyone else around as the area was pretty wide open around my front door. Anyways, I just calmly opened my door with my keys, walked in, and looked outside. My friend slowly walks in with his eyes wide open and says "Did you hear that? It sounded like someone said turn that light off." I grabbed a flashlight and looked through our little bushes and such around the porch, never saw anything...was pretty freaky.
one night i woke up from a dream but i couldnt move. i saw a dark, formless figure sitting on my chest. it was crushing the air out of me. i tried to scream for help but i could speak. after what seemed like eternity, the dark figure left and i could breath again. ive had that same "dream" on 3 different occasions. i did some research and found out that it was called "sleep paralysis". its when the mind becomes concious but your body is still asleep. it was really freaking and i hope it doesnt happen again.
I actually learned how to do that while I am asleep. Since you usually wake up and you are seeing what is going on but your mind can still play tricks on you and sort of mix reality with dreams. its really cool, except for the fact that you can't move. but if you can keep a good balance you can "move in your dream" but move in your room and stuff. its really fun. ive been able to do it on several occassions.
