Iam with u on this, i just want some players to actually KNOW who they are guarding....there was a play last night that got me going crazy lopez pumpfaked dwight 18 feet from the basket and he actually jumped....i wouldnt say thats dumb maybe hes playing with too much emotion, but that caused an and 1 and omers 4th foul in a critical time. He needs a little more polish but everything is coachable , when he plays with his head hes damn near impossible to stop or score on, and it seems like after the playoffs starting thats pretty damn close to happening
beside being the anchor on the d, i have been really impressed with his footwork. I thought his postgame would be what it is, but working with hakeem has definitely made him smoother. And he has cut down on his turnovers.
proved all the national doubters wrong with this series. is it perfect? no. still great for the most part. he's brought it every night. 100% every game. some weak guy with no heart doesn't bring it every night.
Harden has been atrocious offensively, and equally defensively, but he gets credit for being him. May sound ridiculous, but the majority of Portland's defense is designed to frustrate Harden, which is happening. And for all of Lin's good (last night), he has such crazy bad (effectively giving away Game 4) and we still needed Harden to come up big in the last 4 minutes last night. Asik is questionable as well. I guess to the extent he's limited LMA, then yes, that makes sense. Though to be fair, the Rockets still should have won Game 1 without that, and it does often seem like the Rockets do a little better when they go really small. Asik was -6 last night. But it's just one game, and since his insertion into the starting lineup you could certainly argue the Rockets should be 3-0, and they are 2-1.. so yeah, rank him above Harden. All of which basically just reiterates how much Dwight has meant thus far in the series.
