you can't go wrong with Hillary. The rest of the candidates have the tendency to become the Anti-Christ.
that's interesting because i seem to have heard the exact opposite. how hillary isn't electable because of her baggage, barack, on the other hand, beats any of the republican candidates. though this was many months ago, and before mccain became the front runner.
Yeah - the Dem primary is all proportional. The GOP has a mix - some states are winner-take-all, some are proportional in various ways.
Hillary is now trying to BE Obama. http://www.wilshireandwashington.com/2008/02/clintons-vision.html To chants of "Yes, she can!," a variation on her chief rival's campaign slogan, Hillary Clinton rallied thousands of supporters and a smattering of Hollywood celebrities at Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday. In fact, what was marked about her speech was that it was much more visionary than past ones --- and perhaps even a bit Obama-like. Clinton said, "What we have to do together is to seize this moment and give each and every one of us a role to play in the new America I see." At one point, she asked the crowd, "Are you ready for change?" According to press accounts, Obama asked the same question in a Saturday afternoon speech in Minneapolis. The crowd waited patiently for Clinton to come on stage, and listened to what seemed like an endless parade of elected officials who have endorsed her, broken up by a performance of a group of female mariachis. Hundreds who didn't get in waited outside, and Clinton addressed them afterward. Clinton said that "we are going to put together a movement" to pass universal health care --- which gave her an opportunity to criticize Obama. ... I especially like the "Yes, she can" line. That's the essential difference in these two campaigns. In Obama's, he always pushes the "we". In Hillary's, it's all about her.
Interesting - never knew that! I guess Obama and Hillary are trying to be Patrick! On a seperate note, I've never understood the appeal of that slogan - it just seems really cheesy. I'd think something involving the Audacity of Hope or "Fierce urgency of now" would be much more interesting, though harder to chant for supporters. But I'm surprised he uses it as much as he does in his speeches as opposed to those other phrases.
then the democratic nomination wont be known until may. they are going to be neck and neck all the way, with each getting about the same number of delegates per state.
That's not correct, either. Dolores Huerta came up with it, even though people translate it incorrectly in English. It's such a simple phrase, it was probably used before that. Whatever the case may be, Deval Patrick was not the first American politician to use it.
Si se puede! Si se puede! in Spanish. The United Farmworkers mantra. Delores Huerta the second most famous after Caesar Chavez. I remember marching with Caesar Chavez.

I thought the only people voting for Huck were the Evangelicals. And if people are voting based on the fact that they're evangelical Christians, they most certainly won't vote for Romney. I wish the right wing talkies would just accept that fact and deal with it.
