Among all the numbers, basketball is the 1 sport where 1 player makes a difference. I mean loook at duncan. If he goes to boston, they're a force in he 90s.
Soccer and basketball the two sports that are heavily influenced by referees. One is notorious for match fixing and the nba is famous for conspiratory theory. Nba is only the sports that has two sets of rules, general rule and superstars rule. That makes superstars important for championships.
The Clippers, Dallas and Chicago have absolutely no shot at a ring this year. The Clips have Blake Griffin as the second best player. They want win with that. Dallas is old and lost to much from the team over the past 2 years. Chicago want have Rose for most of the season and lost to much this offseason. Boston has a shot and if Memphis or Indiana could pull off a trade of some sort, they would have a shot. Past that, the NBA sucks this year. 4 teams with a chance, 2 teams that could pull a trade and get a chance and a bunch of garbage. When does the NFL start again?
Miami Heat only have two superstars. King and Wade The Lakers only have two superstars. Kobe and Dwight
The problem with the NBA is that you only have 5 players on the court for each team. 1 superstar on a basketball team will make a bigger impact on the team than 1 superstar on a baseball team (9 players) or football team (11 offense & 11 defense). To prevent multiple superstars on a team, the NBA needs a hard salery cap. It's the only way.
