Posting Famitsu reviews is probably worse than posting Gamespot reviews, although I guess getting a perfect score is still an honor when you look at the other games that got perfect scores (can't really argue about the quality of them). But just don't be surprised when you see the next (crappy) Sonic or Gundam get a 38/40 from them (or similar score), just weeks after they unveiled the first info/media about those games (hint hint). Just realized the link kind of goes into this, although some may not have read it.
nah gamespot is definitely the worst. bias at it's best. no one is perfect though, metacritic and gamerankings.com are your friend.
They both do pretty much the same ("adjust" reviews to the publisher's liking), so not really much point in debating which one is better or worse (both are incredibly unreliable for the most part). I will say the text from some of the Famitsu reviews are pretty entertaining.
like i said, its not so much that famitsu is highyl regarded , or accurate, but like you mentioned the other games that got a perfect score are pretty darn good and a perfect score says "something". regardless, cant wait for the game.
well it's out in japan. plenty of footage on youtube if you want to spoil yourself. only a few more weeks til we get it now. i'm very excited!!! you can find most, if not all, of the music here http://dra-mata.com/misc/brawl/ awesome, awesome remixes. love the kid icarus themes. wish they had done more for sonic, but pretty cool that they're using stuff from his SEGA CD adventure. can't believe all the nostalgia they've managed to squeeze in.
