Not sure why there is so much interest in egg ball - a fake tough guy non athletic sport with lots of cheating and atrocious behavior (some dude called Paterson or Rice) where grown up men grab each other in various places, put them to the ground and jump on them.

    Rather watch WWE.

In 1993 Superbowl tickets were 175$. I was in college. Seemed high. But looking at that now I would hand that over without even thinking about it. The spectacle itself while improved seems more or less the same. So to go from that to $8,000 for the same event is seemingly crazy!

    Maybe it was Conan.

Idk who I want to win now, like both coaches, both qb's, gronk & marshawn, just hope it's a good game.

For those of you without access to a TV, here's a link to livestream of the superbowl:

    http://stream.nbcsports.com/super-bowl/?pid=16651&referrer=

Apparently, it's supposed to have the entire pre-game, game, halftime show and post-game festivities, in addition to a new episode of The Blacklist. 11 hours of programming, methinks.

The only thing that's bad is that there's an ad at the top of the screen, when you go full screen. And with adblock, the ad isn't there but the space isn't then filled up with the screen. Ah well - it's free.

Thanks. Also, the NBC app should have the game live (as they've had every other SNF game live)... and its ad-free.

Seahawks offer Lynch a big contract extension:

The Seattle Seahawks not only want Marshawn Lynch around next year, but they've made a significant commitment to keep him on their team, possibly, for the rest of his career.

On the heels of another dominant season for the running back nicknamed "Beast Mode," multiple sources tell me Seattle has made Lynch an offer on a huge contract extension that would keep him in a Seahawks uniform for years to come.

The deal is believed to include more than $10 million for Lynch in the 2015 season alone. Lynch currently is slated to make $5 million in 2015, the final year of what originally was a four-year, $31 million deal.

The Seahawks believe that Lynch, who has rushed for at least 1,200 yards in each of the past four seasons, has outplayed his contract, sources say. They want to reward him for his work.

The new deal for Lynch has been a topic of discussion between Lynch's agent Doug Hendrickson and the Seahawks for the last several weeks. He's the heart-and-soul of their team, which they recognize, and they want him to retire a 'Hawk.

As for his compensation, Lynch could end up being the highest-paid running back not named Adrian Peterson using average-per-year as a measure.
