Wow, I was just about to joke that the pregame looks like Cirque du Soleil meets anime. I guess it actually IS a Cirque du Soleil production. Anyways, are the Browns playing? No? You mean they will never make it in my lifetime? Then I don't really care. At least it looks like a good matchup tonight. If I HAD to pick a team, it would be the Bears because they have more Florida Gators. Eh, I just want to see a close one. BTW, I tried to describe the Super Bowl to two people who are not from the US. The best way I could describe it is the way the world views the World Cup finals, the US views the Super Bowl. Makes me cringe a little. And I waited in line for 30 minutes trying to checkout at Sam's Club. Thanks Super Bowl. (Ok, things like this just remind me how horrible Cleveland is in sports. Bare w/ me.)
I'll be rooting for Chicago in this game. I'd love to see Vandy grad Hunter Hillenmeyer win a champ, so I'll be rooting for Chicago.
I usually complain about the way TV productions of big games are handled but this one is being handled nicely, IMO. It's kinda cheesy but the intros for the teams with the players talking about the game is a nice addition.
How can it be raining? Bill Simmons told me Miami was the best place for a Super Bowl because it was always sunny and 70 degrees!
WOW! Hester with the return TD on the opening kickoff. Let's just hope for Chicago's sake this isn't a replay of the NCAA title game.
BTW, isn't that a Super Bowl first or is it a punt that has never been returned for a TD in the Super Bowl?
I would like to hear an explanation for that as well, it seems like he was singled out for the booing, no one else got that reception. Not a good start for the SB. Anyways, things going as planned, hope Chicago wins...
