wow, was that ever a boring game. Not just boring for a SB, but might be one of the most boring games I've ever watched period. Can we do a redo and pick 2 teams that are actually good?

The weather, contributed, I think. It contributed in a good way in the first quarter. After that, it brought the "entertainment factor" of the football game down a little bit.

I thought it was a pretty good game though. Some fundamentally sound football (see: Colts running game...when not making mistakes on handoffs), as well as some hard nosed defense.

Would you like to watch a replay of the Rockets/Hornets game instead?

Geez, what's up w/ all the Miami hate? Yeah, it rains there sometimes. It's called the weather. Was today the only day it rained during Super Bowl week? (I'm asking, I don't know) I'm aware of the dome argument. Should we play every Super Bowl indoor from now on because of tonight? Maybe we can change football to an indoor sport from now on.

When you think of Miami, you think of a major vacation destination, the beach, the nightlife, celebrities, culture, etc. When I think of Houston, I think of the Rockets...and going there for business meetings. The Miami image seems to match w/ the biggest sporting event, nay, television event of the year. I'm sure Houston is a great city to live in. I'm not trying to say Miami is a better place to live, that's a very personal decision (San Fran for me). It rained, and it didn't help, but most players, owners, FANS, etc would probably like to make that special, possibly once in a lifetime type trip in a vacation type setting.

For all that Rex Grossman did to help ice/lose the game, it was the bears D that really stunk up the joint.

They allowed over 150 yards rushing, and after that first drive, manning was in a groove and they never got him out.

The bears missed Harris big time tonight and it showed.

And congrats peyton manning and tony dungy for getting your long overdue super bowl rings.

That game was pretty lame. I thought pretty much all the commercials stunk and CBS's presentation was pretty poor.

Also...did anyone see David Carr playing QB for the Bears???
    That was pathetic!!!

Grossman looked sucky because Manning was making it look so easy on the other end. That last interception killed what looked to be a promising Bears drive.

Yeah, the Bears D didn't show up. The two botched hikes were also embarassing in the biggest game of their careers. They could play in the snow, but not in the rain? Ugh

I think Rhodes and Addai should have shared MVP honors.

The Bears D played relatively well against a high powered offense. The turnovers they caused kept them in the game. The numbers look really bad because of the time of posession. The Bears offense (and namely Grossman) failed them today. The botched snaps and interceptions were not acceptable.

I called this right after the Colts beat the Ravens. 9-2 prediction record since the divisional playoffs. :)

OK...Rex Grossman is not capable of playing under pressure. I feel badly for him, but he has to do better than that. Those INTs were terrible. That said, the much-acclaimed Bears D didn't quite show up either. I never quite understood why people kept saying that the Bears D and running would win them this game. Every time Indy has come up against a so-called "great" defense or run game this playoffs, they have turned it physical and won on the defensive side of the ball. They said LJ would run amok, the Colts stopped him. They said the Ravens D would stop them, but their defense outplayed the Ravens D as good as that defense was. (Which was why I picked them to win). The Patriots in all their invincibility came up short against Indy's stellar 2nd half defense. And they did it again today. Devin Hester was the only reason this game was even nearly as close as it was ...otherwise it would have been an ugly blowout.

By the way, do you notice that the game plan today was almost identical to the Pats game? Dominate the clock, run the ball deliberately all game long and wear down the defense until they're tired and give up a couple of big plays. Play dominating defense and win.

Rex, lose the game for the Bears, and Manning didnt deserve to win the MVP, I would give it to Bob Sanders, and the Bears showed a little, because in the red zone, they stopped the Colts ,and is a shame that Cedric Benson get hurt. I didnt like the halftime show, maybe he was doing a little playback, I dont know.

No they did not. The colts had 191 rushing yards on 42 carries. Manning was 25-38 and was 24-36 after that horrible looking opening drive.

The bears D was as much at fault for losing this game as grossman and maybe moreso because they were expected to play well. The only thing they did well was hold in the red zone and none of those turnovers happened after the 1st quarter when they still led.

The Good -- Prince. He was unreal. Fantastic.

The Bad -- The game. To borrow a line from Ric, my yawns were yawning. Awful. Sloppy. Mistakes everywhere. Fumbled snaps...lazy interceptions...That can't be the best the NFL has to offer. My 6 year old son was going, "geez, these teams are terrible!" :)

The Ugly -- The weather. Play in domes. If you're going to hype your event the way these guys do the SB...and charge ridiculous prices for a ticket...you seek to control as many elements as you possibly can; not the least of which is the weather.

i can't believe noone mentined how during "Purple Rain", when they put up a cloth or something, and you could see Prince holding his guitar in a certain "Austin Powers" like way. Am I oversexed or undersexed or something? All I saw was him holding a giant dildo when they put put up that cloth that only showed his shadow and the guitar.

BTW Prince gave one of the best halftime shows I seen in a while. Wish he had done "When Doves Cry". The man is a musical genius.

Game was awesome. One of the more entertaining ones I've seen in a while.

Polian sure knows his stuff, picking this guy #30 in the draft. People will be kicking themselves for passing up on this kid last year.

He got those first downs because Peyton threw the ball to him.
