Oh yeah man, teenagers really should be exposed to as much sex as possible, otherwise, how will they know how to do it when they reach 18 or before? I mean, how you have sex is like your identitty. It defines who you are. To many teenagers are having sex these days for the wrong reasons, love, procreation, to sustain their marriage, etc. We need more mindless relationships and images in this world. My parents were showing me p*rn when I was about 3 and I turned out just fine. And the way Justin treated Janet was great, like an object. He treats objects like women, I mean...ergghh... Oh but religion will probably try to tell you that that behaviour is wrong.
If 50Cent was at the halftime show, and at the end of an ensemble with Nelly (or whoever he hates, I don't know who it is) pulled out a fake gun and "shot" him, would you have a problem with it? I would, not because I am appalled at gunplay on TV, but because that is not appropriate for the audience. Anyways, I wonder if NOW has said anything about this.....
The national anthem is ALWAYS lip synched before the Super Bowl. Remember that big emotional anthem that Whitney Houston sang in the early 90's? Lip Synched. They just don't want to risk something going wrong.
How would you have felt if your young kid asked you why couldn't Mike Ditka put his football in the hole and how is he back in the game.
It's not religion that creates social taboos, it's culture. We are conditioned to a certain way of thinking. In other cultures it is completely normal for women to walk around topless, but it is forbidden for them to bare their legs. The we way we see reality is only one way. All systems of thought are guiding means; they are not absolute truth. I hear people hear calling for moral standards and absolutes. The problem is that nothing is constant, things change. People kill and are killed because they cling too tightly to their own beliefs and ideologies. When we believe that ours is the only way that contains the truth, violence and suffering will surely be the result.
If two people consent to having mindless, empty, meaningless, emotionless, pure sex, that's fine with me. Who ever said that love HAD to accompany sex?
Yawn... Anyway, today I got at least 5 e-mails with funny variations of pictures of that staged "event" (rather a non-event, if you ask me).
