I hate Justin Timberlake. He sucks and is a complete moron and what he did was completely unjustified. He messed up completely by managing to only expose one boob. What an idiot. Hey Justin, next time, try to let us see both of them bodacious ta-tas.
Yeah dude, 13 year olds should totally be having sex and children. I mean, who the hell wants to bridle their passions? Right now I'm dry humping my monitor because I just can't wait for a woman to come into my life. I'm trying to encourage my children into being p*rn stars so your every whim can always be satisfied. Cigarettes are evil though. We must spend billions of dollars to continue to remind people that smoking is bad. We don't want a kid to see someone smoking on a commercial or halftime show!
it was just inappropriate. i won't even begin a moral debate on this board regarding this issue...it was just entirely inappropriate. my 3 year old son is sitting there watching with me...we just don't need that imagery. the super bowl is one of the most watched events all year long by people of all ages. if i couldn't get my son into a movie theater to see that content, then it shouldn't be broadcast over a major network at 7 p.m. twhy - be careful with that monitor!
Yeah, I know there was a pasty. I'm not so offended by the nudity, but by the silliness of it all. In our society, we are constantly bombarded in the mass media by mindless and constant images of sex, violence, etc. We go for shocking rather than amazing and once we've grown desensitized, it will take even more to shock us. I'm just sick of the house of perversion that is MTV painting itself as being "down" with the youth of today. If our youth are that corrupt, our civilization is headed for a fall. As for the Muslims, I now see why they think we are a bunch of corrupt, godless, perverts. There would be no massive redistribution of income, because Christ wasn't a communist. I don't even want to go there.
What's with all these closet fiends' outrage over Janet's act? I was watching it on HD widescreen and I could barely see a breast with a silver looking pasty on it. And I know all those soccer grandmothers who are complaining were watching it on some blurry tiny set. It's a boob. Big deal.
for the record.....that was not a pastie. the closeup at drudge proves that. and while I dont care about an exposed tit..it should not have been shown while youguns were watching....Im not referring to teeens...but like Max referred to....real younguns dont need to be shown that it is ok to bare yourself in public.
What did you guys expect? What was it last year or the year before when Brittany Spears was running around half dressed....it's not like this was significantly different. If you and your 3 year old sit down to watch a show featuring Kid Rock -- your going to see some T&A -- not hard to figure that out going in. Change the channel
Oh My God, A kid saw a breast for 2 seconds. Check his sheets this morning. Other than that, I thought she was a faker, that was pretty saggy to be fake.
The half time show was just terrible and its sad that Janet Jackson feels that she needs to shock us with that stunt. I don't mind nudity, but they should warn the viewers about it like at the beginning of NYPD Blue so that we can make the decisions about what we let our kids watch. I, like many others, was watching the game with my 3 year old son though by the end of half time, he had absolutely no interest in what was going on on TV.
It is ridiculous for anyone to ever be outraged at seeing a boob for the split second that it was displayed. It was partially covered at that. I love it how CBS profusely apologizes for the half-second boob exposure, then they create an entire episode of Survivor that prominently displays Richard Hatch's entire nude body. MadMax, I'm assuming you blindfolded your child when he was breastfeeding not too long ago. God forbid he see an exposed boob. My goodness, that would send him into a downward spiral of rebellion, pre-marital sex and chemical dependency.
In defense of CBS they did blur out Richard Hatch's privates and not many are going to excited over seeing Hatch's boobies. Also see my comment regarding that some of us should be ashamed of our bodies regarding Mr. Hatch.
this just in...breastfeeding doesn't usually involve grinding and squeezing a man's ass at the same time. it usually doesn't. not sure how it was in your family, though. again...i just don't see the reason for it. i understand she's an attention hound...but your music and show is either good enough to stand on its own or it isn't. sam, you're probably right..i should have changed the channel to begin with.
So now your issue is with the dancing instead of the actual boob exposure? Seems like your story is still evolving.... Let me know when you've got a satisfactory version of it. Seems to me that if the bumping and grinding really were the issue with you, then you had ample time to avoid the boob exposure, which occurred at the very end of the scene. Your specific problem had to do with the exposed breast, something that your 3-year old probably didn't even notice unless you made a big stink about it. Heck, I don't even know if your child was even watching the show or if you are just using it as a convenient way to demagogue the issue and attack the moral character of MTV/CBS. Look, anyone tuned in to the halftime show had already been conditioned to see racy/sexy imagery. What occurred at the end of the scene was a mere continuation of that. The people that were drawn to watch the entire halftime show probably *wanted* to see it. I know that I'm glad I saw it. I frankly found it quite interesting to look at, and I don't even think Janet is that good looking. I tend to agree with ZRB here. Religion has conditioned people to react a certain way to nudity. The people that react in this manner need to examine why they are doing so. Are they simply blindly following the moral instructions of their pastor/minister/etc? Or are they thinking critically about why they do not want to see something and reacting in a consistent manner? My very strong sense is that it is the former.
