I'm guilty of buying into the Carolina hype. Someone pointed out their strength of schedule was 25th this season and they only beat 4 winning teams in the regular season. I should have considered that. But, Carolina never really got hit in the face this season. It was nice to see Denver came out swinging and drew first blood.

Jerry Jones should call up Demarcus Ware and Wade Phillips to congratulate them both. It's also as close as Jerry is going to get to a SB the rest of his sorry GM career...so he can pretend he had something to do with those guys' success. ;)

I'm not sorry to see Carolina lose. I thought their arrogance and cockiness finally caught up with them. There is something to be said about humility. Maybe Carolina will learn some humility from this loss? I hope they don't repeat their success next season and find it hard to duplicate. Success in football is fleeting and it can be hard to duplicate. Next season is an entirely different beast.

What a **** game to watch. One of the worst SB's I've ever seen. It was a game of who can try and lose the hardest.

    That D???

Funny this was one of Manning's bad performances but he won a SB. It's a team game. People still need to understand that.

One of the best I have seen. The defense was beautiful...

You don't appreciate good defense then. And whoever said Cam is a one-man show is wrong. That defense has helped him so much all season with turnovers and field position.

Definitely not even close to the worst Super Bowl. 2 great defenses going at it. Not a truly great game because the offenses were both so sloppy, but you gotta appreciate good defense.

Carolina wasn't trying to lose really. Denver's defense forced all of their mistakes for the most part. That's how great Denver's defense was. For some reason though people in this thread keep thinking Carolina was the one making mistakes. Denver's other worldy defense forced them into these mistakes and deserves nearly all the credit for why Carolina played so bad. Denver's offense was terrible too, but that also can be attributed to Carolina's defense being solid.

I like defense, and there was some good defense being played, but most of the game was bad offense. wr's dropping balls, cam airmailing everything, peyton in quicksand getting tossed like a rag doll, rb's & fb's fumbling, pre-snap penalties, etc... i mean it was poor coaching and poorer play.

the highlight play of SB50 was someone NOT falling on a fumble. THAT's your memorable play of the game that will go into NFL archives!!!

SB50 was great if you like PUNTS!!! Almost tied the record for PUNTS in fact, fell just one short. too bad, if cam doesn't fumble they probably would have tied and then broke the record, how exciting that would have been!!!

bottom line, SB50 was the most boring, anti-climactic, upset we've ever watched.

notice the only two who played in the nfl aren't celebrating. pic and your caption are misleading, game wasn't over yet and these two former nfl players knew it.

That D was a little overrated. They would always seem to be blowing 20 point leads. There were at least 2 or 3 games where they gave us some huge leads including Seattle.

On offense they had Olson and Cam and they led the league in scoring. They didn't have that great of a running game. Ted Gin was quite hit or miss.

Cam just laid an egg in the biggest game of the season. It really on him.

    Denver's D made Olsen invisible
Crotchery had hands of stone [though one was blown call]
    Ginn was Ginn

    The Running game did nothing

Gotta give Denver's D some credit. . .they did the damn thing
