What about Dwight + Brewer + Jones + eventual filler/s for Tyson + Knight + Tucker? I really don't like Chandler contract but well, you're also trading Brewer and Jones for Knight and Tucker (which is a cheaper Ariza and gives you more trade opportunities). What would be our salary cap after this trade?
I'll make a case for trading for Bledsoe: First of all I'm aware he's had two injury plagued seasons out of three with the Suns, but he's only 26 and his numbers this year when on the court are very good. He's a decent 3 point shooter, averages about 6 assists in a crowed back court, plays elite defense, he averaged 20 points last year while shooting 37% from 3. It's really important to defend the point well in today's NBA, and Beverly loses his effectiveness defensively the more minutes he plays. He's a good backup point who can play top level defense for 20 min a game; that's who he is, that's his role. A guy like Bledsoe will help Beverly be more effective in less minutes with no defensive drop off. A Bledsoe Beverly pg position would be the best defensive pg position in the NBA. If he shakes the injury bug he's going to be an all star. A Bledsoe Harden backcourt would be very strong. And there aren't a lot of good pg options available save for Conley (who will be sought by several teams in FA). I would be super excited if we traded for Bledsoe; You have to take chances and this guy is an all star waiting to happen; next full healthy season ...hopefully with the Rockets
No tweets, links, articles, or sauces; and a player that was never affiliated or associated with the Rockets. Absolutely not GARM-worthy.
Bledsoe would be everything and more that was expected when Rockets acquired Ty Law, except he also brings elite D and is already accustomed and successful playing alongside ball dominant guards. Bledsoe would also reduce the wear and tear on his body because he doesn't have to carry offense and defense like he does in PHX. And I would rather trade Bev and develop a Bev type player but cheaper with better speed, ball handling, scoring and same tenacious D. A guy like Russ Smith. Would make this trade all day, every day.
Yep and how on earth is he going to play with Harden? Didn't Phoenix already try the two pg's approach? Harden needs the ball and he's not goving it up.
Not a good fit, but if we struck out on better options I would take him on as an asset. The guy is an average passer and average 3pt shooter, even though he can play good D sometimes. He is nothing like Ty Lawson, who was supposed to be an elite passer. As a scorer he goes to the line 5-6 times a game while playing 34 minutes and dominating the ball. Barely above average. We can't pair Harden with someone who is offensively the same. We need someone who can play OFF James Harden, someone who's offense is helped by James Harden and vice versa.
Bledsoe would be a nice get, however the kid just can't seem to stay healthy. In three of his six seasons he played 43 gms or less. Throw in do we have the assets to get him?
Suns have on of the best medical staffs in the NBA, yet could not keep him healthy. We should not trade for him. Our ownership has already done a knee jerk reaction to this bad season by hiring a bad coach. We dont need a knee jerk trade either.
Rockets have Dekker, Harrell and Mcdaniels under contract. Jones and Dmo are RFA. not much "young" talent
This is not a legit arguement anymore. Kyrie and Lebron both need the ball. Durant and Westbrook both need the ball. Match Harden with someone who can do something with the ball when they get it, and this team could be on its way.
He's a score-first guard who needs the ball in his hands to be effective, just like Lawson. I personally don't think that will work alongside Harden. I could be wrong, but then again CF pretty much collectively thought Lawson would be a great fit next to Harden as well.
umm lawson is not a score first PG..... Bledsoe is a slasher, hybrid PG/SG. Probably one of the best fits you could find next to Harden. Harden NEEDS a pg that can score and slash, he doesn't need the PG to be the distributor since he IS the distributor.
