    RF,

I disagree. I think u r quite proficient at teaching me how 2 type like this, which saves me time and energy.

When U feel like addressing n.e points I have made instead of picking one error I made that was not even relevant to this discussion (or the Larry Smith discussion), let me know. Ur act is even more tired than it was the last time. ;)

Got u, didn't I?! :) It's the same tactics u use. Slightly different form , maybe ... but same effect.
Just want to show u how tired and frustrated it could be making arguments against u!! :)

And don't bother trying to explain how u make ur points and others didn't. It's a 2-way street!

Both Sane and codell are good posters.

note personal Caveat : I have a pro-trade bias. I want some different players. Usually the trade proposal says more about what style of ball the proposer wants to see. That can be a valuable topic.

Codell has shot down every trade I ever proposed, but usually with very good grammer & good insight into my underlying assumptions.

Sane has shared clever and insightful trade talk with an eye to player characteristics and team impact.

Y'all go share a seinfeld post or something. We are who we are; just like the players we propose trades for.

Codell is engaging but he is clearly not a homer. I am fairly sure he would be the last to know that our team is contending. :D

Just like you said we were last year DR?? ;)

No offense DR, but I will stick with my take on the state of our team over yours. Gotta stick with a winner. :D

I would be happy to make a double or nothing bet if you are game. If not, I think I have already decided on your new signature.

    :)

The Jazz made a good move and the Kings just got weaker. Are we still not in the Kings class? I am not sure if the rockets approached the Jazz but I am fairly sure the rox are not interested in moving anybody. In other words they are still in love with MoT.

I don't see how the Kings got weaker. They replaced Clark with Miller.

Also, its entirely possible that the Rockets may have called Utah and that Utah said "not interested". We'll never know. :)

They are weaker than they were yesterday. Remember we handled them pretty well last year.

Regarding the bet, we will settle on the double or nothing offer closer to the start of the season.

    DR,

Just to let you know, there were no NBA games yesterday. They have essentially lost Clark and replaced him with Miller. I consider that an upgrade for the most part.

They lost Turkeyglue, who was barely getting minutes at the end of last season.

Not sure how you can insinuate that the Kings are a weaker team than they were at the end of last year.

I am cool with the double or nothing. I am assuming the basis of this bet will be whether the Rockets finish Top 4???

I think that it is a bunch of BS that you guys dawg on Mo Taylor THIS much.. i understand Griffen is young and has got a shot and some moves, but Mo Taylor is better than him becuase he is a Vet.. you wonder why Mo Tay only got 8 points a games last season and low rebounds.. its becuase he didnt get as many touches as he should have.. i watched every single second of every single game last season. When in the post.. Mo was very effective.. in crunch time when we weren't getting buckets from Yao because he was tired... Mo was doing major damage... Dont give me that BS that Mo doesnt get enough boards... Have you not seen our guards?? How many times have you witnessed Francis and Mobley STEAL rebounds from their own teammates.. it happens numorous times every single game.. those add up.. Mo Taylor is a legitimate 4 with great moves.. he can score in the post or off the dribble.. not to mention he will throw down on people at will.. I think this season when he is totally recovered from injury he will show that he can hold down the fort at the 4... Of course this will be in limited playing time.. most likey the minutes will be split between MO and EG... and nobody should expect MO to score 19ppg.. i KNOW he can on a team where he might be the 1,2, or even 3rd option.. but not on the rockets... we have Yao, Francis, Mobley taking a good amount of the shots... So this year.. just expect Solid play from him and he will score in the post when the duty is called upon.. stop the Mo hating..

Also.. i think you guys expect WAYY too much out of our players.. everyone needs to chill.. we dont need THAT many points from everyone... if Francis scores his 23-25.. Mobley scores his 20-22... Yao scores his 18-22.. thats like 65-70 points from just 3 playes.. all we need is a solid supporting cast.. people like Mo coming up with 12-15.. and Nachbar, mooch, Cato, Rice coming up with 20-25 off the bench.. everyone cant score 20 points on our team.. there are not enough touches to go around

Codell, I have asked, now beg, you to say what I say. At no time did I say that they were weaker than they were last year. I said they were weaker than they were last week. What is the significance of last week? They had both players then and I evaluate the team's strength then to determine whether we could compete with them. I concluded in my typical homer fashion that we can compete. This week they got rid of one of them and I can safely say that they are weaker than last week, my point of reference, which has nothing to do with whether there was a game last week or not.

Are you asking me if they are stronger now than last year, assuming they bring back JJ? I am not sure. I like Clark more than I like Miller. Unlike teams like the Rockets and Blazers, the Kings's product is a matured one. I am not really expecting a major jump in performance. A team like the rockets, who could get improved play from a number of developing players, I expect to improve. Regardless, our team handled them pretty well last year which was a major change, from prior years, that even you have not noted and appreciated. They beat us at will until last year where we may have given them their worse defeat of the season. Yet according to you we are a few years from contending. Do not give me that crap about on any given night.
