Just noticed the Suns only scored 31 points in the first half and have fallen behind by 24 in the 3rd quarter. Would somebody who's watching the game explain what's going on? Has Amare's return already messed up their chemistry?

80-39 Nets with 2:56 left in the 3rd quarter. OK, the Suns have given up. Just tell me what happened in the 1st half.

Amare looks horrible. As a team, the Suns are shooting 25.9%. Enough said.

Forget the box score. Since you saw the game, what happened in the 1st half? Why were the Suns shooting so bad? Were their legs slow and they got fewer fast break baskets and wide open shots? Did they clang shots they normally missed? Were the Nets playing lockdown D? (LOL) Was their ball movement not very fluid?

Nine in a row for the Nets -- not bad.

Once again, I ask this question.

Does it look like Amare has retained his explosiveness? His greatness lies on explosiveness. If he loses that, he will be just another good power Foward in a league full of Power Forwards.

    Zboy, according to ESPN:
    article

So it appears he was struggling with quickness and explosiveness.

That is an amazing margin of victory! I thought those kind of blowouts only happened to the Rockets when we play on national television, but I guess we're not the only ones! What a surprise.

How good are the Nets?? School two of the best teams in the league on back to back days, 9 in a row and didn't they win 10 in a row earlier this season. Might they be the the George Mason story in the NBA this season.

Well at least the suns didn't go into history with worst field goal % in a game. That belongs to...

    Lowest field-goal percentage, game
.229-Milwaukee vs. Minneapolis, at Buffalo, November 6, 1954

who would've thought there would ever be a game where steve nash had more blocks than points (2 blocks, 0 points). incredible.

especially amazing to be scoreless in 26 minutes.

weird this happened tonight, considering i was just reading espn's mvp vote where everyone was taking nash. just like wade had that 10 TO game right after they had an insider article about wade for mvp.

as a side note, nash just can't be allowed to have 2 mvp's. i don't care if he's the best candidate, you have to vote for someone else. he's not the best player in the league (but he's in the perfect system to maximize his potential) and just can't have multiple mvp's. i like nash, but he's not historic. 20 and 10 asts is awesome, but nothing other pg's haven't done w/o getting the mvp. judging by what people think of the suns supporting cast and their record, nash would have to be the best player ever practically to get them that record. i'm guessing the answer is that the supporting cast isn't as bad as we've all been led to believe. and again, they play in a system that kills in the regular season (not that nash wasn't money in the playoffs last year).

anyway, weird game, nash is great, don't make him the mvp.

    edit: LOL pradaxpimp.

Ouch. Never thought this could happen to a Steve Nash-led team.
