i don't really think they rushed him back. amare probably felt good but then felt like crap a day later as he has been saying the whole time. it's probably extremely frustrating feeling solid one day and not being able to follow it up yet. he still probably needs another 3 months to get the knee back. i don't think the suns hurt amare by playing him since he really didn't play that many minutes, but i think amare realized how much time he is really going to need to recover.
Yeah, but Jason Kidd recovered. Adrian Griffin recovered, but it took him over a year to get everything back. I think the surgery has gotten better, but it still means a long recovery. Same thing holds for Bobby Sura, but he has back problems too. He may recover next year, he may be done.
I think he will be able to recover eventually, but limit his NBA career to an early retirement in coming years.
Well J. Kidd has recovered but i still dont think he's back to where he once was & never will be. i think Amare will come back but not to where he was a year ago. Sad but most likley true...
He still plays really well, he's just an old man now. He still dishes out no-look passes and out-rebounds/assists nearly ever PG in the league.
Amare was frustrated about his rehab. Then he talked to the Suns' owner or GM. And Boom, he suited up for the game 1 or 2 game later. The Suns rushed him back.
I don't think either of them came back 100% -- Kidd is doing pretty darn good though but clearly he's lost a couple of steps (age had something to do with one of those steps). The Suns were fools for putting that weak knee in a game situation so soon. Absolutely crazy.
Amaré Regains Optimisim Following Talk With J. Colangelo 19th March, 2006 - 1:14 pm Amare Could Suit Up Thursday 22nd March, 2006 - 4:24 pm Amare Activated 22nd March, 2006 - 6:19 pm
The Suns might actually be thinking that it was a mistake to give a max contract to a broken knee. Swift, Head, 2006, 2008, 2010 1st round picks plus fillers for Amare. Pick up the phone now, CD.
They're stressing that it isn't a complication of the surgery but rather fluid buildup in both his knees. I think it's more of a comfort thing and conditioning than the surgery itself, but my optimism is inflated because I don't want to drop him for a stiff like Zaza Pachulia on my fantasy team...
well jkidds stats this season are either equal to his career bests or better. he has a higher fg% than he has ever had and his rebound avg is equal or better than his career best too. .and of course he always dishes the ball well. so i say kidd fully recovered but age is catching up with him. I think he's 33 next year or somethig like that
