All I have to say is that the clotheline he delivered to Kobe would make Jake the Snake Robert proud...

This one doesn't show any contact (though I'd liked to have seen a few frames before), but there have been multiple instances of elbows aimed to the face in this series. It can't be accidental. So one didn't land, big deal. I bet others did.

I cannot believe you guys are defending Kobe in this thread. Trash his tactics if you like, but Raja is applying the old-school technique - keep swinging elbows in my face, and you pay a penalty. Reprisal for that sort of thing used to be more vicious and they were even allowed to stay in the game. I'm with DaDa here; Bell should've just been more restrained, more subtle in his revenge, in this gentler era of the NBA.

Btw, Bell got called for a foul on a elbow swung by Kobe just minutes earlier (don't know if it was this play or if it hit). A call which is bound to infuriate a player. Hence, his quote to the Laker bench during his ejection, "THAT'S your foul."

If the Suns had Amare they would have an inside presence and this series would be over in 5. If they had Kurt Thomas it would be over in 6.

    T-Mac doesn't love him either. :D

Raja Bell should have stood up for himself, It doesn't matter how good Kobe is, you shouldn't let anyone **** with you. But that doesn't mean you throw someone to the floor like that.

The chokehold was unnecessary, excessive, violent, and very fun to watch over and over again. :D

He should have just been more slick and kind of knocked Kobe's ass out in the air or gave him a couple elbows to his face.

Kobe is a prick, and I hate his face and that stupid way he dusts his shoulders off, but he's just so damn good.

Dumb move by Raja. He didn't need to throw him down like that, just suck it up and dish out some of his own medicine.

Kobe elbowed Barbosa in the mouth for 4 stitches. It's amazing how Kobe's popularity stock suddenly go skyrocketing.

Kobes elbows were anything BUT inadvertant, ridiculous guys, i know we dont like Raja, there is that Jazz connection and he used to annoy us back then, but the elbows and the play on both of those guys is unacceptable. Wouldn't you be pissed if you were getting elbowed in the face and having them called for fouls. And i think Kobe is scared of playing Raja cause he probably defends him better than anyone in the league. He is not near as dirty as Bowen dont even start that, don't forget about bowens flying jump kick into Wallys face. I dont like Bell anymore than the next guy, but i am totally behind him on this issue, he probably shouldn't have collared him but i dont know if i wouldn't have done the same thing if Kobe is sitting there getting away with every little hissy fit he throws. Did you guys watch last night, did you see how many times he gestured toward the refs and got in there face, I would have liked to see just one Technical called. He IS a pompous, arrogant, ego driven peice of crap, he does think he is the sweetheart of the NBA, and the league treats him like the special kid that you can't get to mad at, cause really does he know any better.

LAKER HATER FOR LIFE!!! KOBE TOO!!!
