Why don't you attempt to make quality posts, instead of running up your post count running down another member? If Clutch or a Mod think someone should go, then they go. Let them worry about it. If it's worth reporting someone over, then do that, but if you make a habit of reporting someone without good cause, you could find yourself getting in hot water. Just an FYI.
Well I believe you. I remember you getting a small scoop through that contact the first time around (I don't remember what it is now, but I remember it turned out to be correct). Then another thing you posted didn't come to pass, and people got on your case. But if I recall correctly it was just something that didn't work out. That's one thing that gets lost when we hear from "insiders" and "sources", is that sometimes the information is correct, but for whatever reason it just didn't work out, or it fell apart after the scoop. It doesn't mean that it wasn't legitimate info. I for one am happy to hear it. Course I thought he was in the bag anyway, so I'm only having that feeling reinforced by your news. Thanks. Course if this doesn't end up happening I'll probably be more devastated than ever. But that's not going to happen. Right?
http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=69798 • Despite an impressive Vegas Summer League, don’t buy reports that have the Suns are hot after John Lucas Jr. to back up point guard Steve Nash. Phoenix is shopping for a bigger backcourt and the 5-foot-11 Lucas doesn’t fit the profile. I know its just some local reporter but its still good to hear.
Slow?? Did you watch ANY of the games last year when he was in his stint with the Rockets? There are many adjectives you can use to describe JL3, but slow is not one of them. He could in fact very well be among the 3 or 4 fastest players in the entire league, at least on the dribble.
Just click your heels together three times, and say: There's No Place Like Home! There's No Place Like Home! There's No Place Like Home!
http://www.nba.com/features/vslreview_060717.html Earning a Second Chance In addition to Amare and the rookies, there were several veterans in Las Vegas who were looking to earn a spot on an NBA roster. The one that stood out the most was John Lucas, who played 13 games for the Rockets last season, but spent most of the year in the D-League. Lucas averaged 23.4 points, 7.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game for the Rockets squad in Vegas, earning himself First Team All-TVSL honors (the only undrafted player on the list) along the way. "The Rockets were playing through him all the time," Captraw said. "He's a good player who's probably on the cusp of making a team. He can provide a lot of energy, scoring and passing." Nothing about coming to Houston but hes close to choosing.
I watched the game last night. The summer league is a lot closer to high level YMCA play than the NBA. Nobody should be losing sleep or wringing their hands about the decision of JL3.
IF Rox tied taking DJ to DG (and no one is offering the equivalent of a TE for Jones) then Cavs might just listen. They might...just (shhh) listen...
I stated the fact that D'Antoni won coach of the Year in 2004-05 (check anywhere MIKE D'ANTONI won) and van gundy hasn't won it once. sorry for hitting you guys with a reality stick. as for new york and houston... i stated my OPINION that i think it would be more FUN to play under Coach Isaiah than van gundy. as for Houston being a black hole... when hasn't it been (post 94-96). last time i checked, we havent moved past the 1st round. (would minnesota qualify as a black hole as well? YES.) I hope we get past the 1st round this year, but (as everyone is) i'm biting my nails waiting to see.... STOP BEING SO SENSITIVE.
Well, your cherished "reality stick" is apparently quite warped: it implies that any coach who hasn't won a coach of the year award is a bad coach. That entire post was just bad, mmkay?
No. it implies that a coach whom has won the COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD is probably a better coach than one who hasn't (van gundy about 10 years in the league vs. D'Antoni about 6 years). I was just stating that i think D'Antoni is a better coach than van gundy. MMMMMKKKKAAAAYYYYY?????
No, he's not. D'Antoni is Doug Moe reincarnated. He's a good coach but he's clueless defensively. At least JVG can draw up plays offensively and they seem to work and his players rave about his ability to draw them up. D'Antoni can't teach defense to save his life. It's not in his makeup. His idea of D is to give up a quick 3 point shot to force the tempo up and run it back the other way. You will see in the coming years as his teams entertain throughout the regular season and then fall flat on their faces in the 2nd round as they run up against teams that can play halfcourt and actually have a post game. Phoenix will be chased from the playoffs year after year until they come up with defense and half court post offense. And they'll have to bring in a defensive specialist coach or change head coaches before they get the D.
Yeah, JVG really has the ability to draw up offensive plays that work. That is why the rockets score so many points ????????????????????????
I know NBAHOU713 personally and I'm willing to stake my credibility (if I actually have any ) on his word. I know he works with a member of the Lucas family and he also has another source who used to work for the Rockets. Great news, Mike.
Has nothing to do with it. He did the best he could with both superstars out and a nothing bench behind them. If you recall when TMac and Yao were healthy, we were burning it up, despite having zero depth and no 3rd scoring option.
it implies that a coach whom has won the COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD is probably a better coach than one who hasn't sorry but that logic is a little faulty. like dick vermeil has said. There has never been a coach who's won COY that didnt have good players.
JVG has always had good players too. The New York team he took to the Finals weren't exactly scrubs (outside of Charlie Ward). and how many seasons has he coached in Houston? Last year wasnt exactly his first year to have Yao and Francis/ Yao and McGrady/a team with a 7'6" guy who can shoot lights out. STOP INFLATING van gundy's ACCOMPLISHMENTS. He isnt a BAD coach but he isnt a great coach and i dont care what T-Mac says. He prolly is the best coach T-Mac has had. but T-Mac didnt exactly play under great coaches.
