how many times did JVG do it? once? and how long have both of them been coaching in the league? I would MUCH rather have D'Antoni than baldy.
and how many times did JVG win coach of the year??? ZEEEERRRROOOOOO Mike D'Antoni- 2004-2005 Coach of the year I hope JL III goes to Phoenix, for his own sake. Houston is a black hole as of now. I would rather be in New York than Houston as of now we'll prolly end up with similar records and at least it will be more fun playing for Isaiah. I don't wish this kind of misery on any NBA player. even Derrick Fisher and Rick Fox.
I think JL3 is coming here because he wants to. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Lucas_pushing_for_roster_spot-184342-822.html "I would love to play for the Rockets," Lucas said. "I love playing for Coach (Jeff) Van Gundy, but they have to make a decision that's best for them. I've just got to wait and see what happens."
They said the same thing about Mike James once... I predict a phone call from Nash and D'Antoni throw in a trade kicker and JL3 is PHX Sun.
maybe not. jvg has given unproven points like mike wilks, andre barrett, and jliii a decent run in the past. perhaps he sees a little bit of himself in these undrafted players and wants to give them the opportunity he never got, who knows... this definately hasn't been the case for forwards.
Well... Charlie Ward played a grand total of 44 minutes for the whole season as a rookie under Riley, Van Gundy gave him his first meaningful minutes, if I remember right.
JLIII will sign with Rockets then trade to Pheonix suns together with 2007 1st round picks for Pat Burke!!
No way PHX trades Pat Burke! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fxXxwMOpkQY"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fxXxwMOpkQY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
thats gotta be one of the funniest youtube clips ive ever seen. "man, im jealous too" -steve nash. classic.
Good deal. I hope JL3 got a better deal from the Rox than he got from the Suns either in a larger salary or more years. So now we have filled some our depth needs on the cheap by signing Snyder and hopefully JL3 now lets use that trade exception and MLE for Jeffries, Spanoulis and Fred Jones.
Just read this morning on nba.com that the Caveliers are offering David Wesley a two year deal worth 3.6 milllion which means that Damon Jones is probably out. Also they are looking at possibly doing a sign and trade with Drew Gooden if they can not work out a deal. At the end of the year he could sign with someone else and the Cavs would not get nothing out of it. Tell me if this would possibly work. Trade Juwon Howard and David Wesley and a draft pick for Drew Gooden and Damon Jones. We would get alot younger and I think production would be better. It would answer our needs at PF and give us more depth at SG as well. Let me know what you think. Be kind, this is my first reply to a post.
Grrrrrr! I'm going to tear you up! Seriously, I don't want anything to do with Damon Jones. He was completely exposed as a joke last year. Playing with Wade and Shaq got him a contract he didn't deserve. Give me JL3 instead. If the Cavs do a SnT involving Gooden, I doubt we can offer them the best deal. Gooden is also looking for 6yrs/$60MM which we must not do. We need a PF but not at the expense of offering Gooden crazy, long term money we will regret. Think Cato, Mo Taylor and Juwan. Once Gooden sign his deal, I expect his performance to fall.
First of all, welcome to the board. However, you may want to note there is a whole thread devoted to the Wesley-Cavs issue; another on the Drew Gooden issue; another on the spelling of Juwan Howard's name; and countless others on depth issues. Read, read, read...and then post. With that ultra mild rebuke, well thought out posts are always appreciated. Be well. We will look forward to your input.
