Get a room, guys. And close the blinds, please: this isn't interesting to the rest of us.

MJ's nose would grow back to normal before your posts start to make sense.

that newplayer guy won't stop B-Bob. I hate to tell you that.
plus his jokes and posts make no sense. I bet you he posts again on this thread. he's like Rafer taking 3 pointers when Yao is wide open in the middle.

I hope someone reads Ottoman's post about the Tibetan monks and feels for them. if having newplayer chase my coattails does that, than it was worth it. truthfully, its too easy cause the dude's post are so dumb. this guy would lose to Stevie Wonder in Wheel of Fortune and then blame the Americans for being so blind to things!

Hate to disappoint you, but this would be my last reply to you in this thread.

Keep saying that and maybe one day someone other than your imaginary friends would believe it.

I actually feel very sorry for the Tibetan monks who were beaten -- if they were just peaceful protesters, I said this before and it just got buried in your rubbish posts. I've even said that I support their worship of the Dalai Lama on the ground of freedom of religion, but of course you also ignored it.

The only reason that I joined the discussion of this thread was to provide more balance on the issue of China and Tibet, and for some strange reason you have interpreted that as I hate America or freedom of speech or human rights.

I might continue to respond to reasonable posts from other posters in this thread, but this will be my last reply to you.

At the top of the page, "User CP"

The easiest way is to click directly on a poster, go to their "info" site, and there is a button for it.... not that I ever use the ignore function. ;)

And I have no big problem with either of y'all -- thanks for getting back to topic, such as it is. It is probably played out by now.

Watching all the back and forth, China v. America or what-have-you, I have to wonder if, some day, we'll have political parties and movements that truly span national borders. It seems like all the new communications tools would support that, but what have we really had, after the socialist cause of the early 20th century, that's come close? (And I am *not* saying that was an overall good thing, but forgive me, as I'm rereading For Whom the Bell Tolls just now... what an amazing book)

you know newyorker got banned right?

i work too yuantian, you know this is not the full force of tinman. i'm on autopilot on this dude. its like when you're playing street fighter and all you need to do is throw hadokens and they keep jumping at you and you hit him with the shoryuken everytime.

you know i do love china and its people. from my visit there, i realized that they weren't all YOFers and crazed government defenders. they don't even hate Kenny Smith! ;)

This is a good thread cause it gets a topic across. Lots of injustice going around the world and its good to know some people care about people not countries.

What it all boils down to is that you, and several other China Defenders here, cannot abide criticism of Chinese policies. It doesn't matter if it concerns Tibet, or Taiwan, or North Korea, or Pakistan. Anything critical of China's policies gets an endless stream of excuses that essentially say that, while there may be a few things wrong in China, here and there, any criticism posted here of China is wrong. China is right. Our information is wrong. The information you have, with a government controlled media, is right.

I find this highly ironic. Many, many of my posts here are critical of the American government. So are many others from other members. Even those who support the current government, or at least some of its policies, are sometimes critical of it. Yet where it concerns China, members such as yourself, with a self-serving dollop of, "oh yes, there have been some issues with this and that," defend Chinese policies ad nauseum. It makes a "discussion" with you pointless. Trying to have a real discussion is like beating your head against a wall.

You know what? All you are doing is walling yourself from the rest of the world. Carry on.
