Why is being whitewashed disgraceful? Is adapting one's old culture to the culture he currently resides in bad? And, the person you quoted did not write enough information for you know, whether or not he is "whitewashed." It is a good thing to have some of your old culture, but, every single culture has flaws. You can't say my culture/country is better than yours. That is just not true in any ways.
