leap a little higher and a little more agile doesnt mean more atheletic. If even one GM thinks that Sun is more atheletic than Durant, he will be a sure lottery pick, which I dont it happening.
Durant has LONG arms. They make him look more athletic than he actually is. Of course being lanky is an asset to playing basketball, but they don't make him more athletic. Again, nobody thinks Sun Yue is even close to Durant's level as a player. My bad on saying that Durant is from Houston, clearly a slip there.

No one is saying that Sun Yue is close to Durant as a player. He isn't. I've watched him play for the CNT and he doesn't do anything. Someone said it was ridiculous Sun could be more athletic than Durant, so pryuen brought out the numbers. This got twisted in classic straw-man style into an assertion that Sun is as good as Durant.
I dont dislike pryuen. he's a great contributor to the bbs. he's actually one of the best. however, he's too biased and sensitive. i didn't say pryuen said sun was better than magic.. (i'm saying YOFers are thinking that). you know when EVA longoria shows up on the spurs highlights. its not like i have to ask what the guys are thinking. same with YOFers, you know what they are thinking. The only Sun that people should talk about is that team in phoenix or that thing that causes you to buy sunglasses.
i cant believe druant has a 7'5" wingspan. thats just silly. BTW I'm not completely sold on him. As of right now, he's a better rebounding Rashard Lewis, who is a star, but by no means a Franchise guy.

If we're going to call Durant an athletic player, then YES, absolutely I'd expect him to have a plus vertical leap. There are plenty of fairly weak players who can jump (Swift, Tyrus Thomas, even Yi). He said "that statement about some Chinese national being more athletic than KD". What's wrong with Chinese nationals? Why can't they be more athletic than Durant? It just so happens that this Chinese national had a better vertical leap at the combine than Durant, but b/c he's Chinese, this means that it's ridiculous that he's more athletic than Durant?
fair enough, I think in some part this is just school pride on my part. Sorry if I came across as being rude. The Chinese national part was because I was skimming over this thread and didn't catch the player's name. Do some youtube searches for Durant, you'll understand why some of us scoff at the idea that the results from 1 combine means absolutely nothing.
Tony Parker can't jump and he's from France. Why don't we compare apples to foie gras, or apples to wontons? who cares if he can jump higher than durant! or oden! or woody harrelson!
