Let Dallas pick him, we have too many guards already. Never heard a good guard from the outside of USA.

Well, please do some more research on the results of the phyiscals and various tests (on vertical leap, lane agility drill and ¾ court sprint) before you comment ridiculous.

Sun Yue is the 3rd fastest in lane agility drills amongst the 80 players that attended the Orlando pre-draft camp, and he ranked 42.....

Kevin Durant ranked 78th in the list, and could not even bench press 185 pounds even once. Sun Yue even though still very skinny, had lifted 185 pounds 9 peat.

So Asians or Chinese are not as poor and inferior in terms of athletism when compared with Caucasians or the the Black.

The following is a list how the various players ranked, posted by Wireonfire on YMM.

I'd pick Kevin Durant 100 out of 100 times over Sun Yue.
Larry Bird was slow and couldn't lift 185 pounds either.

Sam Cassell was unathletic too. you know who that guy is?

i'm so glad none of you guys are GMs for the Rockets.
what you do on the court is what matters.

any of you watch football? remember Rocket Ishmail? that guy was the fastest WR... he sucks. Jerry Rice wasn't that fast or tall, but he's the best WR of all time.

oh, maybe we should get some dudes from Argentina or France, cause those dudes seem to get past the first round.

Wow, trying to defend Sun Yue OVER Kevin Durant, that's ridiculous. Those tests mean nothing.

    Charlie,
have you not figured out the YOFs?
forget Ken Durant, YOFs think Sun Yue is better than Steve Nash or Magic Johnson. Mark this thread and comment on it every year Sun Yue and Kevin Durant play in the NBA. lets see who's better.

You're putting up a straw man. pryuen never said that Sun Yue is better than Durant. He was merely responding to a post that said that Kevin Durant is far more athletic than Sun, which is not true by combine measurements. It is fact that Sun Yue graded better on the measurements than Durant did.

Again, all pryuen was saying was that Sun Yue is very athletic, and in fact by measurements more athletic than Durant. He never said that Sun Yue is a better player. Straw Man arguments are not legitimate arguments.

I'm not inventing terms here. You're resorting to two common logical fallacies: misrepresenting an opponent's position to discredit them, and attacking the person rather than the position.

By the way, just because Kevin Durant is from Houston, and because he is a magnificent can't miss prospect, doesn't mean he is godlike and beyond question. He graded very poorly in the combine. You can't deny that Sun Yue had better athleticism numbers than he did.

Vernon Maxwell's unpaid child support is always a legitimate topic in any tinman thread.

WOW !!! I'm not sure that kind of attitude belongs to the best of posters here on clutchfans site.

Look at those figures that came out of the Orlando pre-draft camp. Those figures are legitimate facts supporting Sun Yue has better athleticism numbers than Durant did.

And as SmitingPurpleEm pointed out correctly, I don't think I ever said Sun Yue is a better player than your god.

Holy crap...I mostly observe only but I have to reply, but that statement about some Chinese national being more athletic than KD

Look at Durant's height....people as tall as him with his wingspan are not gonna bench press much period, also he just completed his freshmen year of college where he excelled (psss...he won some award...something about being best player in the nation).

He put on 25lbs from senior year of HS....the guy will continue to get stronger.
At Texas, his S&C coach focused on plyometric exercises. He works on flexibility, speed drills, and lower body strength. And lastly....when did bs stats like bench press means anything in basketball?!?

Please, for the sake of your credibility, stick to translating articles.

Also...Kevin Durant is not from Houston (he played for University of Texas, which I'm sure many posters here are alums or fan of), you're mistaking the god that is Vince Young.

This is like the freaking Ruskies using numbers to somehow justify Drago is better than Rocky! ;)

Then explain how Sun has a superior vertical leap to Durant, where vertical leap is the most used indicator of athleticism?

And why is it that Chinese nationals can't be athletic? I think anyone sees what you're getting at there.

Damn, I didn't know Durant was from Houston! Sure, he may have "better" athleticism numbers, but those tests mean ****. They don't even play the same position. Those workouts in Orlando aren't going to propel Sun Yue anywhere. He wouldn't even be able to hold Durant's jockstrap in a game.
