Smith, Jones, Bev did really well but I expected that from them. Cooley, Ware, and Honeycutt were pleasant surprises but Covington impressed me by far the most.

Covington as stretch 4? Can shoot, better defense than DMo and TJones, can rebound well, not selfish and has handle. Reminds me of Shawn Marion :)

Why did we pull so many guys from the championship game (TJones, GSmith, JAnderson, JCooley, PBeverley at least). We had a couple of guys on our roster who were playing their first game for us. One was on the court with 3 minutes to go and the game still a contest. I know it's "just summer league" but still why the vanishing act?

Already knew what TJones was capable of. Ware really impressed me.

I second that Covington/Marion comparison. How the hell was this kid undrafted? Morey must've had his mathletes working overtime again in the Toyota Center's dungeon. Dork Elvis pwns the 2nd Round. Getting back to Covington, he's clearly not the high twitch player Marion was, but he def looks like Marion Lite w/ a better shot. I know it's a highlight reel so anyone can look good, but he does a lot of nice things out there on the court. Really hope he ends up panning out.

I still like Honeycutt as an end of the bench player. He looks like a roleplayer who accepts his role. If he can play D well and make a 3 then I think he could get a shot.
