NBA Draft Profile: Darius Washington College: Memphis Class: Sophomore Stats: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=22286 Position: PG Height: 6’2” Weight: 195lbs Accolades: Conference USA All-Tournament Team (05), Conference USA All-Freshman Team (05), All-Conference USA Third Team (05), Conference USA Freshman of the Year (05), National Freshman All-America Team (05). Scouting Report: A great scoring point guard with good defensive skills. Strengths: Great at scoring off the dribble (even though he tends to go right very often). Can knock down the three at a fairly high percentage. Great speed and ball handling skills. Good free throw shooter (despite his highly publicized miss at the end of his freshman year). Weaknesses: Turns the ball over way too much. Not a pass first point guard. Doesn’t really shoot for a very high percentage. Not very experienced yet – could benefit from another year in college. Game is still a little inconsistent. Consensus: Sooner or later Washington will be able to continue his rivalry with high school nemesis and current Portland Trailblazer Sebastian Telfair. He could use at least another year in college, but that might not happen if he continues to be projected as a potential lottery pick this year. While all the tools are there for him to be a successful pro, how adept he becomes at running the point will determine how good he will be.
Lampe is on the Suns' summer squad, in other news, the polish rifle signed with the Suns. Damn, his average is probably going to double by just playing with Nash. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns//articles/0703suns0703.html
he already played for nash's suns in 2004/2005 ... 2.8pts, 2rbds... twice his stats with houston, you're right
Maybe he's thinking the same things as JR Smith. Why play for the summer league team if you're just going to get traded? Totally unsubstantiated guesswork on that theory.
